Hello everyone!
I need to make you aware of some changes and things that are happening and that are absolutely necessary.

1)The Arvest thing is not happening. They chose a different school.

2)Because of what they were looking to charge for a website, and a CRM and the fact that they are ultimately moving in a different direction then what is intended for the vision of this entity, Unleash is not happening. I will be letting them know before this month is over. They are a great company with a fantastic vision, but it is not the same is ours.

3)After 10 years, Shield Academy will be dissolved. It has existed as a martial arts/self-defense entity. With hopes of becoming something more. But it is recognized by the state, IRS, insurance companies and online authorities as such. The vision for the future does not match this anymore. At least not as a martial arts school. So to speak.

4)The first goal is for there to be a different entity as a for-profit. The name has not been discovered yet. But it will not be a martial arts entity. It will be a safety and threat management training and consultation organization. A professional training system. The curriculum will be known as Adaptive Threat Management.

5)The second goal is for there to be a non-profit (GET Safe). Either 501(c)3 or 501(c)4. It will focus heavily on small programs, workshops, seminars with sponsorships. The for-profit and the non-profit will be able to coordinate things together.

Thank you all for your support over the years, we appreciate everyone who has been a part of or that has supported the Shield Academy family for the last 10 years.

Shield Academy now has a Level 1-10-week course program available for both a Women's Self-Defense and Protection course and a Men's Self-Defense and Protection course.

Also, Shield Academy was contacted by Arvest Bank to hold a 2-hour workshop for realtors, that will be held in Neosho, late February, early March. Very honored and excited about that!

We are also hoping to have a new location by February, but things are not completely set yet.

***Is Abduction Defense necessary in our area?*** In the last nine months, Southwest Missouri has seen several cases of human trafficking and abduction. Human trafficking reports have been on the rise, with approximately 350 reports related to trafficking received from the region during this period. These cases include both s*x and labor trafficking, with s*x trafficking being more prevalent. The area is also a known route for human trafficking due to its proximity to major highways, which traffickers often use. Additionally, abductions linked to trafficking efforts have been reported. This was according to M. Lane Harrison. Human Trafficking Hotline. This is why Shield Academy is starting abduction defense training in January of 2025. I know it's not a comfortable subject or positive or entertaining, but it is reality. I don't know how anyone can read that information and not find a way to make personal safety a priority for themselves or their children. I am having a panel and would like to provide information and get feedback about Shield Academy's upcoming programs. If you are interested let me know. Have a heart and help others play it smart. Did you know that if your children think that all strangers are bad, that it could place them in worse danger? Did you know that yelling help doesn't draw as much attention as other words could, when you are in danger? Did you know that if you or your child carried a couple of everyday items, that they might be used to escape abduction. These are examples of things that will be taught by Shield Academy starting in January. If you are interested, we will be having a forum, to get feedback from potential students and parents for our upcoming training programs. No charge. Ask me when and where.

Did you know that there's a common thing taught to your kids and even adults that helps an abductor grab them if they are approached? Did you know there is a thing most children have done while playing with their parents that could actually be used to save their life against a predator? Did you know that there is a structure you can make with your arms that will aid in multiple situations against an abductor? Do you or your child not only know how to avoid getting put into a vehicle, but what to do if you were. These are examples of things that will be taught by Shield Academy to the public, based on slots available, starting in January of 2025. But first I am hosting a forum to provide information and get feedback from parents/guardians, potential students about all of the facets of this program. I guarantee that this will be different than other programs in the area, regarding price, schedule, curriculum. Including an opportunity for free training. Reach out to me if you interested and more than anything spread the word and share or copy and paste this post. You could be saving a life in 2025.

Slight language warning. Reality. However, this is a good video! Tough love yes, but love still. There is a whole generation that needs this, maybe 2-3 to be honest.

Honor still exists, as long as it is lived out, not just taught or talked about.
