The Jerry McGee Memorial Junior Golf League is in full swing. ⛳

Three weeks in and the progression is real. Station work is sharp, habits are forming, and this week we got our first group of players out on the course — competing, executing, and figuring out what this game is all about.

Halfway there. The back half is where it gets fun.

Week 1 of the Jerry McGee Memorial Junior Golf League is officially in the books. ⛳

Something we've been building toward for a while now came to life this week. Sunday we brought the families together for our kick-off picnic — first swings, first introductions, and a lot of good energy. Thursday the kids came out in the heat and got after it — rotating through putting, chipping, and full swing stations.

We are almost full.

Since launching registration a month ago, the response from this community has been incredible. We are nearing our capacity of 40 participants — a cap we set intentionally to make sure every kid gets the coaching attention they deserve.

Registration closes Tuesday, July 7 — or when we hit 40. Whichever comes first.

Introducing the Jerry McGee Memorial Junior Golf League — coming to East Palestine Country Club this summer.
6 weeks. Ages 8–14. Every Thursday evening starting July 16.

Whether your kid has never picked up a club or already loves the game — there's a spot for them here. We're teaching golf the right way: skills, competition, etiquette, and the kind of life lessons the game is built on.

Named in honor of East Palestine's own Jerry McGee — PGA Tour champion, local legend, and someone who represented this community with class every single time he teed it up.

We had a fantastic turnout this morning for our annual Member-Guest outing. While it was great to see everyone out on the course enjoying the game and camaraderie, we pause today to remember the true significance of Memorial Day.

​Today, the East Palestine Country Club family honors the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedoms. We are profoundly grateful that their sacrifice allows us to gather, play, and enjoy days like today together.

Big thank you to our 2026 hole sponsors! This past month we finished installing our new hole signs across the course, with each sponsor's panel now on display for the season. A special shoutout to Hot Turkey Engraving for producing the sponsorship plaques — they turned out great. We'll also be featuring every sponsor in our hole flyover videos dropping throughout early summer, so keep an eye out.

📣 An Important Update from the East Palestine Country Club

To clarify recent local news coverage: EPCC did NOT sell its golf course. We sold approximately 20 acres of steep, rugged, unused land along the North Fork of the Little Beaver Creek to a conservation buyer — in support of preserving the Little Beaver Creek watershed. That land was never part of the course.

Better yet? Those funds are going right back into YOUR club. 💪
