A loved member of the CrossFit community and former Seminar Staff trainer, died by su***de on March 8, 2025, after suffering from complex post-traumatic stress.

Turner served for 17 years in the Royal Navy, specializing as an exercise rehabilitation instructor. He was part of Operation Herrick when he served in Afghanistan before relocating to Bali and continuing his work in CrossFit education. Turner worked more than 250 Level 1 and Level 2 Seminars.

Turner was known for his warmth and kindness, and touched countless lives who attended CrossFit courses. He is survived by his sons Brodie and Tommy.

Those box jumps are going to steal the spring from your legs. When you step back up to the barbell, fight to keep your torso vertical on the dip. Itโ€™s tempting to hinge forward under fatigue, but if your chest drops, you lose your leg drive and end up strict-pressing the weight, which will burn out your shoulders fast.

Schedule update for Patriots Day!

On Monday, April 20th, we are running a modified schedule with a special holiday workout.

We will be taking on โ€œ๐™‡๐™ค๐™ง๐™š๐™™๐™คโ€:

Six rounds for time of:
24 Squats
24 Push-ups
24 Walking Lunges
400 meters Run

Welcome to April!

Before we look ahead, here is a quick recap of a busy March. We wrapped up the CrossFit Open, took on our St. Patrickโ€™s Day benchmark workout, tested heavy singles in the back squat, press, sn**ch, and bench press, and got after workouts like Chipper Diane, Interval Nancy, and the hero workout Barraza. We closed out the month by tackling all four Quarterfinal workouts in the final week. It was a lot of hard work and testing, which set a strong foundation as we head into spring!

-April will include some benchmark-style workouts that test your ability to move well while a little tired. We kicked things off with a fun endurance-focused pentathlon for April Foolsโ€™, we will revisit classics like โ€œKellyโ€, and sprinkle in other familiar workouts along the way so you can see progress in real time.

-Strength and skill work will still be there, supporting better movement, better posture, and better efficiency so longer workouts feel smoother instead of overwhelming.

Letโ€™s keep building on that solid foundation. Get ready, April is going to be a great month!
