Can you imagine running one mile in 4:39? If you can, try to, then, imagine running a 4:39 for 26.2 miles in a row.

He made this lift?!

Look at his feet!! Daylight under both heels… completely on his toes. The only thing that gets you out of this with a successful lift is pure, athletic ability, and strength.

Kolbi Ferguson still has some room to clean up his technique, but when he does, the world better watch out. A gold medal for the 🇺🇸 and him could be on the horizon🥇

Keeping people safe is our #1 job. We do this by being mechanically proficient, and managing load/intensity.

I can’t remember if I only got one set of these handles as a demo, or if there are more out there, but I’ve had these in my garage for over a decade. Finally got around to ordering a replacement cable, and it’ll be here today.

Be on the lookout for some super fast double unders later…

Also, let me know if you, or someone you know has a set of these… I’ll buy them back.

I umpired when I was in high school. Great job for a young man/woman who the rules matter to, and who isn’t afraid to call it as they see it. 😉 You get yelled at sometimes, but it builds character, and prepares you for tough situations that come up later.

On another note, I have been super happy to see so much investment go into Groves National Little League. It felt like, for a while, Little League baseball was losing its allure and support in favor of “select” leagues. If you know me, you know how I feel about that whole situation.

Thank you to all of those that have worked so hard to keep these public leagues strong, and Go GNLL!

If you’ve talked to me lately about what I feel our personal prescription for wellness should be, you know that I don’t believe our “exercise” should always take place in a gym. When I had a “gym business,” I recommended people come 5-6 days a week. Today, I think 2-3 days of weightlifting 1-2 of walking/running, and 1-2 days of doing our favorite physical activity that gets us moving, is the perfect prescription.

Since I’ve transitioned to being a personal trainer/coach instead of a guy trying to develop a program that worked best for groups, and my group training business, I’ve figured some things out. My ability to focus on the needs of everyone as an individual instead of as a part of group & community is better for my clients, and better for me. Pleasing everyone is harder when you have to consider others in the process.

I have spent the last 5 years with my emphasis on growing businesses outside of Ternion Athletics to sustain my, and Olivia’s life. There is nothing driving Ternion forward except my purpose. I no longer rely on it to live. While I’m not in near the physical shape I used to be in, my advice is much better today. I wish I could go back and tell some people some things I didn’t know back then. Maybe they’ll come back one day, and I’ll get the chance… Or maybe they won’t, and I’ll just keep trying to do it better next time.
