At Triangle Jiu Jitsu Nederland Academy we provide a safe, clean, and fun environment for people of all ages and skill levels. We take pride in the knowledgeable, dedicated, and decorated instructors that were hand selected to be here to help you accomplish your goals. rning the sport. Whether you are training for competition or looking for a new fitness routine our Academy has something for you. Come in and try any or all of our world class programs for free. We proudly offer world renowned instruction in the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and submission grappling. We have classes in women’s Jiu-Jitsu, cardio and self-defense, and a children’s martial arts program. The team is lead by Professor Patrick Head who is a first degree Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt who has been training since 1995. Patrick is natural leader and dynamic instructor, he takes pride in knowing that everyone ("not just the tough guys") that take his BJJ classes becomes engaged and proficient in the sport. Professor Head has many BJJ victories under his belt, most notably he was 2008 IBJJF Pan Ams Masters Champion as a Brown Belt, as well as the 2009 IBJJF NoGi Worlds (3rd Masters Brown). Patrick's experience, abilities, and attentive instructing methods make him an excellent leader for Atos Nederland and a valued addition to our Association. You will get to train in one of best and most professional Jiu-Jitsu facilities in Southeast Texas, and gain a first-hand experience of the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training available at Triangle Jiu-Jitsu. Today is about family, gratitude, and taking a moment to appreciate how far we’ve come.

We’re thankful for every student who stepped on the mat this year. For the parents who trust us with their kids. For the teammates who show up tired, sore, and still give their best. That discipline doesn’t stop just because it’s a holiday.

Enjoy today. Rest. Recharge. Be present with your people.

This week I promoted two new black belts.

Bella and Moses.

Moses did this while finishing up an engineering degree.
Bella did this while planning a wedding and getting ready for the next chapter of her life.

Life was busy. It would’ve been easy to step away.

Instead, they kept showing up.

That’s what this belt really represents to me. Not perfect conditions. Not extra time. Just the decision to stay committed when life gets full.

Proud of both of them and proud to have them leading by example on our mats.

Edna and Hollie got into a battle for the takedown and it did not disappoint.

Clean entry. Perfect timing. Huge finish.
Edna hit a beautiful takedown and they both hit the mats laughing.

This is the kind of high level training and good energy that makes our room what it is. Iron sharpening iron. People pushing each other and learning every day.

For those who do not know Edna is a 2025 Pan Am Bronze Medalist and she brings that level of focus into every round. Hollie stepped in took on the challenge and came up short this time but made it a great exchange.
