If the scavenger hunt has you thinking about WestMag, here's your tip: the zone rides completely differently in September. Cooler temps mean you can link the longer loops without cooking on the climbs, and the light after 5pm turns the whole place gold.

Newer to it? Start with the mellower loops close to town. Think Reroute, SüperVü, The Hobbits. Want the spicy stuff? Come talk to us – we'll draw you a map on a napkin and tell you where the good dirt is hiding.

This beast gave up the ghost a few years ago and still sits as a landmark on one of Ned's most popular trails. Do you know where to find the Grandfather Tree (RIP)?

If you do, look for a surprise hidden in that area and tag in a photo. First person to find it gets to keep it!

No-drop. All abilities. We'll show you the lines, the links, and the stuff you'd ride straight past if you didn't know it was there. That's the whole point – and it's why we've loved running these group excursions all summer.

Bring: a bike that works, water, and a layer for when the sun drops. If your bike is NOT in the working category, get it here early and we'll do our best to work a miracle or put yer butt on a demo before 6.

IT'S LABOR DAY! We're open at 9, then knocking off early to go ride (or grab a nap).

We'll closing at 4:00 today for the holiday. Plenty of time to swing by for a rental, a last-minute tune, or beta on where to point it, but get here before 4 if you need us.

If you're up here escaping the last gasp of Front Range summer: cooler mornings, tacky dirt, thinning crowds. Some of the best riding of the year is right outside the door. Go get it.

Get yer butt up here Wednesday (9/9) for a kickass group ride.

All summer we've been leading these to get folks familiar with WestMag and Ned's greatest singletrack, and they've grown longer and a little spicier each month. We've been partnering with the good folks to help fuel the scholarship fund and get some great za after the ride.

Whether you know Ned's trails cold or you've been meaning to check them out since June, roll with us. No-drop, no ego, no problem.

Wheels down 6:00 SHARP from the shop, Wednesday 9/9. You might want to bring a jacket – the days are noticeably shorter now, and that's kind of the point. September evening light in the high country is unreal.

WHAT WE RIDE: the shop quiver is a little ridiculous, and that's on purpose.

Between the owners and crew, on any given day the rack out back has hardtails, long-travel enduro sleds, gravel rigs built for the Peak to Peak, a vintage that Smitty refuses to retire, and at least one moto that isn't ours to talk about. We ride what we sell because that's how we know what actually holds up on Ned dirt.

Curious what a particular one of us runs and why? Ask. Half the fun of a local shop is that the person handing you the bike has ridden it into the ground and lived to tell you which parts matter.

Come see what's on the floor – a lot of what we personally ride is available to demo.

is currently sporting this dope Banshee Paradox. Definitely a Party Hardtail, the Paradox is his go-to when he's feeling like a full squish is a bit too much and a full rigid is just dumb (but type2 fun). Swing by the shop to check out what Banshee has to offer. They're dope.

If you've run into the Tin Shed crew out on the trails, you've certainly heard the call "DO A WHEELIE!" And man, you better at least TRY to get that front rubber off the terf.

It's Friday. The light's getting that September angle. Go find a mellow stretch of trail or an empty parking lot, cover your rear brake (this is the secret – the rear brake is your undo button), shift your weight back, and give it a pop.

You will look ridiculous. You will fail many times. You will, eventually, get one. And it will make you grin like you're nine years old, which is the entire point of riding bikes in the first place.

Tag us in your best (or worst) attempt. We're not grading on form.

And if you can even get a LITTLE sun between your front tire and the ground, you'll hear us celebrate.

SUPER fun ride last week with our friends and . We had a good turnout and such a good time, we're planning to keep these things rolling every other week through the end of the season.

Rent locally. Skip the hassle. Maximize your ride time. Avoid the crowds. And keep your car from getting trashed by a weekend's worth of dusty drivetrains.

Here's the math nobody does until it's too late: hauling bikes up from the Front Range means a roof rack, a 6am departure, and a vehicle that smells like chain l**e for a week. OR – you roll up, we hand you a dialed , , or demo, and you're on the trail in twenty minutes. On the bike you were thinking about buying anyway.

Every demo dollar goes toward the purchase if you buy from us. So it's a test ride that pays for itself.

That's a wrap on August.

WestMag Wednesday rolled out again and you all showed up. Demo bikes went out and a couple didn't come back, which is exactly how we like it. Bikepacking bags went onto bikes that had never been loaded before. And the shop was full of people with dirt on their shins telling stories that got slightly better with each retelling.

This is the good stuff. This is why local ownership matters and why we do this.

September is coming, and September in Ned is a genuinely special month. Cool mornings, quiet trails, aspens starting to turn, and one more WestMag Wednesday on the calendar. The riding doesn't end. It just gets better and better

(And yes, somewhere in the back of our minds, we're already thinking about snow. Don't tell anybody.)
