Your horse shouldn’t have to pay the price because your boss was an idiot, your bank account is stressing you out, or somebody got under your skin. The second you swing a leg over, it’s time to leave the baggage at the gate.

Most lives aren’t changed by one big, carefully planned mistake. They’re changed by a split second of impatience, anger, distraction, ego, or carelessness.

One text sent in anger.
One drink before getting behind the wheel.
One glance at your phone instead of the road.
One reckless pass while pulling a trailer.

Why do you care so much what other people think?

The same people judging your horse, your run, your trailer, your business, your clothes, or your life aren’t paying your bills, feeding your horses, hauling you down the road, or putting in the work when nobody’s watching.

Cowgirls who spend all their energy worrying about other people’s opinions end up riding circles around their own potential.

Let them talk.
Let them judge.
Let them gossip.

While they’re busy watching you, be busy winning.

Some people shut down.
Some people stay busy so they don’t have to feel.
Some people get quiet.
Some people get short-tempered.
Some people smile, show up, and look like they have it all together… while carrying a whole storm nobody sees.

Before you judge someone’s attitude, energy, or distance — remember you may only be seeing the surface.

Check on your strong friends.
Give people grace.
