Farewell, Melissa! πŸ’™

Last Friday, we said goodbye to Melissa after an incredible four years with Pro Vita Physical Therapy.

Throughout her time with us, Melissa embodied what it means to be a true team player. No matter the challenge or where help was needed, she always stepped up with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine desire to support both her teammates and our patients.

Melissa began her journey with Pro Vita as an in-person Patient Care Coordinator at our Shalimar clinic. When her husband’s career brought their family to St. Augustine, she seamlessly transitioned into a Virtual Assistant role, allowing us to continue benefiting from her dedication, reliability, and unwavering commitment to excellence. 🌟

Through years of growth, change, and everyday challenges, Melissa remained someone we could always count on. Her adaptability, work ethic, and caring spirit made a lasting impact on our team and the patients we serve.

Melissa, thank you for everything you have contributed to Pro Vita over the past four years. Your hard work, kindness, and support have helped shape our organization in meaningful ways, and your impact will not be forgotten. πŸ’–

You will be greatly missed, but you will always be a part of the Pro Vita family.

Thank you to the athletes, parents, and coaches who joined us for our first Athlete Foundations Clinic.

Athletes participated in movement assessments designed to evaluate balance, stability, mobility, coordination, and body awareness.

Our goal is to help young athletes build strong foundations that support performance, confidence, and long-term development.

We look forward to hosting future clinics.

What hurts today? πŸ˜…

☐ Neck
☐ Back
☐ Knees
☐ Shoulders
☐ My email inbox

If you picked the last option, you're definitely not alone.

But if you picked one of the others, here's your friendly reminder: aches, pains, and stiffness aren't always things you have to simply accept as part of getting older or staying busy.

Many people spend months, sometimes years, working around discomfort instead of addressing what's causing it. They avoid certain activities, push through the pain, or hope it eventually goes away on its own.

At Pro Vita Physical Therapy, we believe movement should help you live your life, not limit it. Whether you're chasing after your kids, training for a race, working long hours at a desk, or simply trying to stay active, your body deserves the support it needs to keep doing what you love.

And while we can't do much about your overflowing inbox... we're always here to help with the rest. πŸ’™

πŸ‘£ Most people never think about their feet until pain starts showing up somewhere else.

What many don't realize is that the way your foot moves during walking and running can influence the entire body. Foot pronation is a normal and necessary movement that helps absorb shock and adapt to the ground. But when that movement becomes excessive, it may contribute to recurring stress on the feet, ankles, knees, hips, and even the lower back.

πŸ’‘ Pain doesn't always start where it hurts.

At Pro Vita Physical Therapy, we believe movement quality matters. Understanding how your body moves can help identify underlying dysfunctions before they become bigger problems. Our goal isn't simply to reduce symptoms. It's to help people move better, build resilience, and stay active for the long term.

In our latest blog, we break down:

βœ”οΈ What foot pronation is
βœ”οΈ Signs of excessive pronation
βœ”οΈ Common causes and contributing factors
βœ”οΈ How physical therapy can help improve movement and reduce recurrence

πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ Better movement starts at the foundation.

πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈβš½ Not every athletic problem starts with an injury.

Many parents first notice recurring soreness, slower recovery, balance challenges, or movement patterns that just do not look quite right. πŸ‘€

These signs can be the body's way of saying it is struggling to keep up with the demands of training and competition. ⚠️

The good news? Building better movement foundations early can help athletes develop strength, confidence, body awareness, and resilience that support long-term athletic success. πŸ’ͺ🏽✨
