Our Kraken Up the Competition ROV team is competing against nearly 300 teams from around the world at the International SeaPerch ROV Competition at the University of Maryland.

Between events, the team explored the National Mall at night and visited Smithsonian museums during the day, making the most of their time in the Washington, D.C. area. Always proud to represent Santa Rosa County District Schools, Florida.

We are currently monitoring the weather and coordinating with the school district and the county. Our plan is to move forward with the event this Saturday, May 2 - but we will be shifting the hours from 1 PM to 4 PM. We hope to still see you there. 😄

Our “Kraken Up the Competition” ROV team is heading to the SeaPerch International Competition near Washington, D.C.

After an impressive showing at regionals—where all three Navarre Beach Marine Science Station teams scored high—our top team has earned an invitation to compete at University of Maryland the weekend of May 30.

They’ll go head-to-head with more than 100 teams from around the world, navigating obstacle courses and tackling mission-based challenges that put their engineering and problem-solving skills to the test.

We are incredibly proud of our crew and the work they’ve put in to get here.

Autism OdysSea is back on May 2, 2026 at the Navarre Beach Marine Science Station.

A sensory-friendly day of hands-on marine science designed just for families with children with diverse abilities.

Kayaking, fishing, touch tanks, a walk-through whale, and more—plus 25+ community partners.
Pre-registration required. $20 per family covers everyone and includes lunch, all activities, goody bag, and a t-shirt featuring our signature Autism OdysSea sea turtle logo.
