We Need Your Help! đ đ޸
Did you know our students care for 15 aquariums at the Navarre Beach Marine Science Station? From coral reefs and marine fishes to axolotls, starfish, urchins, hermit crabs, and our aquaculture system, our classroom is filled with living science!
Students also care for our animal ambassador, Nurdle the Sulcata tortoise. đ˘ His name has a special meaning! A nurdle is a tiny plastic pellet used to make plastic products, and is one of the many forms of plastic pollution that can end up in our waterways and oceans. We named Nurdle as part of our mission to educate others about marine pollution and inspire everyone to help protect our ocean.
Our classroom tanks and animals are daily teaching tools that inspire the next generation of ocean stewards.
