Bold of you to think your body isn’t keeping receipts.

You want fat loss?
You want muscle growth?
You want energy, strength, and hormone balance?

But you’re out here treating sleep like it’s optional.

Sleep isn’t a “nice bonus.”
It’s LITERALLY when your body does the work you THINK the gym is doing.

While you sleep:
✅ Your muscles repair and build.
✅ Growth hormone is released.
✅ Cortisol drops.
✅ Your nervous system resets.
✅ Your body decides if it’s going to progress OR just survive.

But sure…tell me more about your pre workout.

Running on 4–5 hours of sleep and expecting results is like trying to build muscle while actively breaking it down faster than you can recover.

And then we wonder:
“Why am I exhausted?”
“Why am I not seeing progress?”
“Why am I so hungry all the time?”

Because your body is tired—not broken.

You don’t need another supplement.
You don’t need a “harder” workout.

You need to go to BED!

Consistency in the gym matters.
But consistency in sleep?

That’s where the results are built.

Train hard.
Recover harder.
Sleep like it actually matters—because it does.

Be honest. How many hours of sleep are you getting on average every night?

I program hip thrusts/variants of hip thrusts A LOT…
and it’s not by accident.

They check the boxes that actually matter for glute development:

✅ They train the glutes in full hip extension (where the glutes are most shortened and working hardest.)

✅ They allow for heavy loading without excessive strain on the lower back.

✅ They’re one of the easiest movements to progressively overload over time.

That’s HOW you build muscle.

Not by constantly switching exercises.
Not by chasing a burn.

Hip thrusts aren’t flashy, and they’re not always comfortable to set up.

BUT they’re one of the most reliable ways to build strong, capable glutes when done consistently and with intent.

6 week check in. ✨

I’ve been in my building season since December and every 6 weeks, I like to check in and keep it real with you.

Right now, I’m 5 pounds HEAVIER than I was at the start.

And no, this isn’t by accident.
This is intentional.
Strategic.
Necessary.

What this season has looked like:

•Lifting 4x/week (focused, progressive strength training).
•Eating around 2300 calories daily.
•Sprint intervals 1–2x/week after lifting.
•Prioritizing mobility and recovery.

And recently?

An old shoulder injury decided to show back up.

So the last 2 weeks I’ve had to pull back on push movements and check my ego.

Less weight.
More control.
More intention.

Let’s talk about what people DON’T show you.

Between these two photos:
✔️I’ve gained weight.
✔️I’ve had to modify workouts.
✔️I’ve had weeks where I felt uncomfortable in my body.

But ALSO:

✔️I’ve built muscle.
✔️I’ve improved my shape.
✔️I’ve gotten stronger.
✔️I’ve stayed consistent.

This is what a REAL building phase looks like.

Not fast.
Not always comfortable.
Not always aesthetic.
BUT effective.

3 more weeks…then we CUT!

But don’t get it twisted—the results from that cut are being built right NOW in THIS season.

Stay. The. Course.

This is the part most people quit and it’s exactly why most people never get the results they want.

I share my journey in real time so you can see the truth.

Not the highlight reel.
Not the “perfect” angles.
But the actual process.

Because fitness isn’t a trend.
It’s a lifestyle.

And lifestyles aren’t built overnight.

This isn’t magic.
It’s early mornings, discipline, and showing up when you don’t feel like it.

It’s pushing hard, but also having the humility to pull back when your body needs it.

It’s navigating injuries, setbacks, and uncomfortable seasons—and refusing to quit.

If you’re looking for fast and easy, this isn’t it.

But if you’re willing to stay consistent, stay disciplined, and stay the course…

This is how REAL results are built. 🤍

It’s wild how many people will obsess over their appearance, but won’t surrender their character to God.

You’ll pray for a smaller waist—
but not a softer heart.

You’ll ask for discipline in the gym—
but ignore conviction in your spirit.

Let me be real with you.
God is far more concerned with your obedience
than your aesthetics.

You can build the strongest leanest body in the room
and still lack integrity, humility, and self control.

And that?
That’s not strength.

Because real discipline isn’t just hitting your workouts and tracking your protein.

It’s controlling your tongue.
It’s choosing integrity when no one is watching.
It’s showing up when it’s hard, in every area of your life.

The gym might transform your body,
but only God can transform your heart.

So yes. Train hard.
Take care of your body.
Be a good steward and be strong.

But don’t neglect the part of you that ACTUALLY matters for eternity.

Because one day your physique won’t go with you…

BUT your character WILL.

For bodily exercise profits a little, but Godliness is profitable for ALL things…

Raise your hand if you’ve ever suffered from Batman neck. 👀🙋🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤣

That stiffness isn’t just from a “good workout”.
It’s really your body asking for better mobility AND recovery.

If you lift heavy, you HAVE to move well too:

▫️Tight muscles = limited range of motion and weaker lifts over time.
▫️Poor mobility = compensation patterns which can lead to neck and low back pain.
▫️Recovery work = better performance, less soreness, and fewer injuries.

Quick fix checklist:

✔️5–10 min dynamic warm up specific to muscle groups you’re about to work before lifting.
✔️Train through FULL range of motion (don’t cheat reps).
✔️Sprinkle in mobility days or active recovery.

Lift heavy…but don’t live your life like Batman the next day. 🤪

Some days…I feel thick.
Not lean.
Not “shredded.”
Not the version of me social media glorifies.

Just soft, full, and uncomfortable in my own skin.

And today was one of those days.

But here’s the truth I had to remind myself of—
I’m not going backwards…I’m building.

This season I’m in right now?

It’s a build something stronger than you’ve ever been season.

Right now I’m:
•Eating around 2300 calories to actually fuel growth.
•Lifting 4 days a week—heavy enough that my legs literally shake.
•Pushing progressive overload instead of chasing a sweat.
•Sprinting intervals 1-2 days a week to stay athletic and conditioned.
•Showing up even on the days I don’t feel like it.

This is what building requires:
More food.
More weight.
More pressure.
More patience.

And yeah…sometimes it comes with a body you don’t fully recognize every single day.

But just because you feel uncomfortable does NOT mean you’re doing something wrong.

Growth will stretch you.
Physically. Mentally. Emotionally.

And if you run every time it gets uncomfortable…
you’ll never become who you’re capable of being.

So today, instead of tearing myself down…
I am choosing gratitude. 🙏🏼

Gratitude for a body that can lift heavy.
For legs that shake because they’re getting stronger.
For a metabolism that can handle more fuel.
For a mind that didn’t quit.

For the discipline I once prayed for.

If you’re in a season where you don’t feel your best,
please don’t give up on yourself.

Give yourself grace.
Give yourself time.
Give your body the respect it deserves for what it’s doing behind the scenes.

Because what you’re building right now
is so much bigger than what you see in the mirror.

And one day…
you’re going to look back at this version of you and thank her for not quitting. 😭🫶🏼

It’s a new month.

Not just another page on the calendar—this is an opportunity.

An opportunity to reset.
To realign.
To refocus on what actually matters.

Not just your body, but your spirit too.

Because the truth is—you can chase goals, hit PRs, lose weight, gain muscle, etc.
BUT if you’re not rooted in God, it will always feel incomplete.

This month, we’re not just building stronger bodies.
We’re building stronger discipline.
Stronger faith.
Stronger minds.

✨God first.
✨Then the work.

Because when your foundation is Him,
EVERYTHING else gets built the RIGHT way.

So step into April with intention.

Show up to the gym.
Show up for your goals.
But most importantly—
show up with God leading every step.

This is your month to grow in ways the scale could NEVER measure.

“But IT made you stronger…”

No.

God did.

Because if I’m being honest—
last year broke me.

There were moments I questioned everything.
What I was doing.
Where I was going.
If I was even on the right path.

Things I thought were stable, fell apart.
Doors I thought would stay open, didn’t.

And that space between what was
and what God was doing…

was HARD.

Confusing.
Lonely at times.
Stretching in ways I didn’t ask for.

But now I see it CLEARLY.

God wasn’t interested in fixing what I had built.
He was tearing it down!
He was incinerating everything that had been and was laying a completely new foundation for the new.

Sometimes destruction is necessary
for divine reconstruction.

He allowed circumstances to break me,
so He could rebuild me.

Stronger.
More aligned.
More rooted in Him.

And now?

I’m standing exactly where I’m called to be.
Serving my community.
Available for my family.
Walking in purpose that is undeniably God ordained.

If you’re in that in-between right now,
where everything feels uncertain and heavy…

Hold on. Trust Him.

God isn’t destroying your life—
He is rebuilding it.

“Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.”
Psalm 127:1
