Today was special.

We had the honor of hosting a free self-defense seminar for the women of the Navarre community, and the turnout exceeded all expectations. More important than the numbers was the energy—focused, supportive, and willing to step outside of comfort zones.

Moments like this—on the mats, learning, moving, problem-solving together—are what it’s all about.

We’re incredibly grateful for the trust you placed in us. Being able to share knowledge, build awareness, and contribute—even in a small way—to your safety means a lot to us.

Self-defense starts long before anything physical—it begins with awareness, decision-making, and confidence. Today, we saw all of that in action.

To every woman who showed up, asked questions, and gave their full effort—thank you. You are the reason we do this.

This is how stronger, safer communities are built.

New year, new location, new school. 🎆🙏❤️
By God’s grace, we are experiencing our first major upgrade after two years of hard work and dedication.

We are deeply grateful—first and foremost to God, to our students, and to the parents who trusted us and continue to believe in our work. We also thank the Navarre community—a beautiful city filled with wonderful families who chose this place to raise their children, just as we chose Navarre to grow our team.

Hand in hand, we move forward together, developing people of strong character, good hearts, and future leaders in our society.

And we did it!
Last weekend we stepped onto the mats at Fuji with just 16 kids and 3 adults, and the results were incredible:

🏆 1st Place – Best Academy Overall
🏆 1st Place – Best Association Overall
🥈 2nd Place – Best Children’s Academy

With only two years of operation and a small team of competitors, earning these results against 44 schools is an achievement that speaks volumes. It shows that we’ve truly established ourselves in the region as a solid, disciplined, and effective Jiu-Jitsu school.

A huge thank you to God, to our dedicated students, to the parents who support us every step of the way, and to everyone who makes Protásio Jiu-Jitsu their second home.

We grow together. We win together. OSS! 🥋💪

This week we’re focusing on one of the most exciting parts of Jiu Jitsu — takedowns!

We’ll start by warming up with UKEMIS (breakfalls) in all its forms, building confidence and safety in every movement.
Then we move into our SPIN DRILLS to develop mobility, coordination, and muscle memory — leading right into our featured technique:
