ABE'S MOTEL & FLY SHOP IS OFFICIALLY UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP!
After nearly 70 years of operation under Abe & Patsy Chavez and the stewardship of the Chavez family, today a new chapter begins. Jarrett Johnson and Margaret Vandervalk, owner-operators of Navajo Lake Marina and Sims Marina, purchased Abe's Motel & Fly Shop. Ownership is excited to see this iconic property once again serve the community and beyond. Further news to come as restoration of this historic legacy operation unfolds.

Sims Marina receives massive breakwater improvements ahead of the 2026 season. Over 400 feet of breakwater was transferred from Navajo Marina to Sims Marina. Every old cable and clamp was replaced with new stainless steel along with anchor improvements. Lighting was added to the breakwater and further improvements are on going.
