Happy new year everyone!
I know it's been a while, but spring is right around the corner. That, of course, means that baseball season is almost here! I hope to see everyone come out for the 2016 UCLL registration dates!

Union City Little League will hold registrations at the Union City Clubhouse

on Morris Street on the following dates and times:





Friday, February 5th 6 pm – 8 pm

Saturday, February 6th 10 am – 2 pm

Friday, February 12th 6 pm – 8 pm

Saturday, February 13th 10 am – 2 pm





League Ages:



TBall/Baseball (ages 4 to 12)**

in accordance with 2016 Little League Age Chart





Softball (includes all of Naugatuck - ages 7 to 14**)

age based on their age as of 12/31/15







** new players bring original birth certificate and proof of residency

Hi everyone,

Just a quick reminder that the UCLL awards picnic is TOMORROW, SUNDAY JUNE 28th.

Please proceed to the pavilion area for the food. You all received the form containing the free picnic pass for your player. I believe that there's a cost for each additional subsequent picnic admission. Passes for the park and water park are separate from the picnic admission.

Our trophy time is scheduled for 2:30pm.

Also, thanks again for a great season. For most of our kids, this was their first year in minors and hopefully they learned enough to dominate next season. It was a pleasure coaching all of your children.

HOME RUN DERBY Tomorrow 6/14 at Peter J. Foley Field!!!

* Players can show up to the event this Sunday 6/14 and register & pay $10.00 that day. (You do not have to preregister) - Please arrive on time. The Derby starts at 11:30am.

* The HR/Hitting Derby is open to all Boys & Girls age 7-12 yrs old.

* Each player will get 10 outs (Outs are balls a player swings & misses & balls not hit into fair territory)

* Players can choose anyone to pitch to them during their at bat (Dad, Mom, Coach, Director etc..) as long as that person has had a little league background check.
We will have someone @ Foley to pitch if a player does not bring their own pitcher.

* The Concession stand will be open the day of the Derby

* Players can bring their gloves to s**g balls in the outfield when it's not their turn to bat. (They cannot take away HR's or Points when in the field of play)

* Players must wear a batting helmet & use Little League approved bats w/ 2 1/4" barrels during their time at bat.

* All players will be grouped by age. There will be 6 age groups. 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 & 12 yr olds. Medals will be awarded to all the winners.

Good Morning,

Our game tomorrow (6/12) against the Bees will be at BREEN SOUTH.

Please be there by 5:15pm for warm-ups.

Also, I have the forms and player tickets for the Quassy picnic. Please see me after the game to get yours.

Hi everyone,

Our next playoff game is TUESDAY at Breen. Please be there by 5:15 if you can.

We play the loser of the River Cats/Bees game, which is tomorrow.

But again, our next game is TUESDAY 6/9 at Breen.

A couple of quick but important notes ahead of this afternoon's game:

- Our first playoff game is TOMORROW SUNDAY 6/7. We'll be playing the Blue Claws at the UCLL Upper Field at 2pm. Please be there by 1:30pm.

This is a double-elimination tournaments, so win or lose we'll probably be playing our second game by Tuesday.

- The Quassy picnic and awards ceremony will be on Sunday 6/28. I don't have the time or the forms yet, but mark it down on your calendars for now.

We'll see everyone today by 2pm for our game this afternoon (1:30pm for BP).

Hi everyone,

Our game today has been postponed due to the rain.
We will make it up this Wednesday (6/3). The game will still be at Breen South.

That means our final three games of the regular season will be this Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.

I wanted to schedule a practice this week, but it looks like the rain has taken care of that. However, we will still have batting practice before Saturday's game. Please be there at 1:30pm for batting practice (or by 2pm, if you'll only be there for our game).
