I just want to tell each of you how much you mean to me! I was talking with a client about my RA today and he put his hand on my shoulder and prayed over me for healing. ♥️♥️♥️ I was so touched by that kind act. It meant the world to me. I am so blessed to be able to get to know each and every one of you through my work. Such wonderful , kind people you are! Have a blessed Thanksgiving and good luck on Saturday!

Hello everyone. Just wanted to jump on here before archery season starts and update everyone on some things. This year marks my 20th year as a taxidermist. I am so thankful for each and every one of you for allowing me to make your trophies come to life again. I have been beyond blessed to have been able to do this for so many years. As many of you know, the past 4 years have been very trying to say the least, supply shortages and slow tan times, vendors closing, and many more. It has been frustrating, and at times angering because I have always gotten you all your products quickly. But what most of you do not know is that I have also been battling and managing Rheumatoid Arthritis for all of these 20 years as well. For the majority of the time it has been mild to non existent, but it has begun to rear it’s ugly head again and more fierce than before. I am no longer able to mount as many animals per week as I used to due to the pain that it causes me. I have thought and prayed about it for a while now and I have decided that it is best for me to take this year off and try and heal as much as I can. Although there is no cure, limiting the repetitive motions and muscle use can help lessen the pain and progression of this disease. I still have an enormous back log to finish and I plan on doing just that. I will not be accepting any new work this fall though. We WILL still be doing European mounts (my wonderful husband handles those for me). I will be contacting everyone who has mounts here still as I get closer to starting them. I ask for patience and understand please. I am so thankful to have you all as my clients and friends. Hopefully I can get myself to a better position to start back into things next year. For now, it’s time to finish what I have and rest my hands. If anyone has any questions please don’t hesitate to call me! It might take me a few days to respond but I promise I will. Once again I am battling a supply shortage. Deer eyes are on back order, so please be patient with me as I wait to mount your bucks. I will not use the low quality eyes. Thank you for your patience!!

Just wanted to hop on and put a little info on here for all of my customers. Hunting season is in full swing and I am getting calls all day long. Please be patient with me as I am trying to get back to everyone in a timely manner. As for 2023 animals, the tannery has been taking longer and longer each year and I am unfortunately unable to change that, so my turnaround time is much longer than I used to be. If you haven’t heard from me yet regarding your animal, that means I haven’t gotten it back yet. I assure everyone that I will contact you as soon as I get it back. I am not taking any more shoulder mounts at the moment, but I am accepting European mounts still. Thank you all for your patience and good luck out there! 🦌🦌🦌

I don’t normally do this, but I am asking if anyone has it in their hearts to donate to this wonderful family, I would greatly appreciate it. My brother in law’s sister tragically lost her husband in a car accident on Monday and is faced now with the hardships of raising their son without him. Steve was such a kind person, I always enjoyed our conversations at family events. He loved his wife and son with all of his heart. The entire family is shattered with this unexpected loss. Thank you for all of your prayers and donations.

I just learned that one of my wonderful customers had passed away last December. I am heartbroken. Jim was such a wonderful person. I enjoyed seeing him every deer season to hear the stories of his latest harvest. This was the last buck that I mounted for him. It was the biggest PA buck he had ever gotten I believe. Thank you Jim for all the great memories. You will be dearly missed.

Effective immediately: There will be a $20 holding charge per week for all mounts not picked up within a week after notification. (unless arrangements have been made with me already). My standard procedure is to notify everyone that their hides are back and confirm poses, after that I will call you once it is mounted, which it has to then dry for a week before it can be finished. So essentially I give over a 3+ week notice that mounts are going to be ready. If you haven’t gotten a text or call from me yet, you’re hide is not back yet and you are fine. I hate to do this, but I cannot afford for people to blow me off. This is my livelihood and my bills don’t wait for me to get paid. Thank you for understanding.

Hunting season is just around the corner and I wanted to update everyone on some temporary changes for this fall. The last few years have brought many challenges to the taxidermy field, supplies have been very hard to get and turn around times are much longer than they used to be. Tannery turn around is double the wait. I have not even gotten back my fall 2023 hides yet. I am currently finishing the last of 2022’s. I have been so fortunate to have been able to mount roughly 175 each year. I am sole owner/operator of my business so that’s a pretty good amount for just myself. With all of the setbacks and schedule changes that I have had to face lately, it’s been very hard to balance work and being with my family. I’m trying to get everyone’s mounts done as fast as I possibly can, but it’s costing me precious time with my kids. My youngest needs extra help with his learning disabilities and I need to be there for him. I also need to clear my backlog of mounts so that I am not juggling mounting with processing new specimens. With that being said, I am only taking a VERY limited amount of deer this season. This will allow me to focus on 2023 mounts, spend more time being a mom, and by next year I will be completely caught up and ready to start back up with full force. I am so grateful for all of my wonderful clients and I hope that I can continue preserving your trophies for years to come. I apologize for the slight inconvenience but it’s the right decision for me at this point.
