Leviathan Wrestling Academy is excited to welcome Skylah Chakouian to our Girls Coaching Staff!

A native of East Providence, Rhode Island, Skylah brings an impressive combination of high-level wrestling experience, leadership, and coaching knowledge to Leviathan.

Skylah was a NCWWC All-American, Region Champion, 4X region finalist and 4x national qualifier for Elmira College in NY.

Skylah was a member of the first women’s wrestling team in Elmira College history — which was also the first collegiate women’s wrestling program in New York State. She served as a team captain throughout her collegiate career and later volunteered as an assistant coach during her clinical year.

Skylah is continuing her involvement in the sport as an assistant coach with Brown University Women’s Wrestling, while also hoping to continue competing at the senior level.

Away from the mat, Skylah works full-time as a Laboratory Scientist with Brown Health, bringing the same work ethic and dedication she has shown throughout her wrestling career into her professional life.

We’re excited to have Coach Skylah join the Leviathan family as her schedule allows and help us continue building and growing opportunities for our female wrestlers. Her experience as both a competitor and coach will be a tremendous addition to our Leviathan Ladies program.

K-8 and our Girls practices started last night. A great start to the fall session. We will kick off our HS practice tonight 6:00-7:30.

We are still welcoming and encouraging new families to checkout and join our growing program. We have intro to wrestling, youth K-8, Girls Only and HS programming.

Thank you to our LWA athletes their families as well as the wrestling community for the overwhelming support as we wrap up our first session as a new club. Starting something new is never easy but we look forward to seeing the growth in the club each session. Fall will begin Wednesday 9/3. Register now. Building this club Beneath The Surface. Leviathan Wrestling Academy in two months of being formed has provided its athletes with plenty of opportunities to not just improve in the practice room but to compete both locally and out of state. Our coaches have been present and taken our athletes to:

- East Coast Clash (RI)
- Girls River City Rumble (NY)
- 1000 Island Duals (NY)
