Next week (October 13, 14, 15) the Range, particularly the pistol/rifle ranges, will be hosting specialized law enforcement training on Monday and Tuesday (when the Range is normally closed). However the training extends to Wednesday and will conclude around 3 or 4 pm that day. After that, the pistol/rifle ranges should be fully open to the public. THIS COMING SATURDAY- Warm up shotguns for hunting season and raise funds for a good cause!

Natchitoches Shooting Range will be hosting a group from Lafayette this Saturday the 11th. The Lafayette group is an organization that raises funds for injured people in need. The event is a 100 round sporting clays tournament. The cost is only $60.00 per shooter and it includes lunch! For the safety of our shotgun shooters, the rifle and pistol range will be closed Saturday until about 2pm . Thank you for your understanding, this is one of the ways we raise funding for the range.

In observance of Easter, the range will be closed this coming Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The range will be closed today (Sunday).

It’s also normally closed on Monday and Tuesdays, and this week it will be closed on Christmas Day as well
(Wednesday).

Next week it will be closed on New Years Day (Wednesday)

LDWF HUNTER SAFETY CLASS HELD AT NATCHITOCHES SHOOTING RANGE

There will be another class in Coushatta next month, anyone interested should check the LDWF website for future classes and registration. LDWF link provided

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is responsible for managing and protecting Louisiana’s abundant natural resources. The department issues hunting, fishing, and trapping licenses, as well as boat titles and registrations.

ATTENTION MEMBERS/SHOOTERS:

ADVANCE NOTICE FOR A NSCA TOURNAMENT ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28

For safety, the entire range will be closed for shooting on Sept 28.

The range is pleased and honored to host another National Sporting Clays Association registered tournament. We will be attracting some of the best competitive shotgun shooters in the State! There are 3 events offered. The Main event is a 100 clay bird course, a Super Sport 50 clay bird challenge , and a 50 clay bird 5-stand.

The competition is open to the public and even if you aren’t a NSCA registered shooter you may enter as a HUNTER class, which is a great way to practice and test your skills.

Although the range is closed for this tournament you are also welcome to come out and watch them compete at some of the stations near the office or parking lot. The sporting clays trail and skeet/trap field will be closed to non competitors. There are no admission fees to watch.

This NSCA tournament is the third tournament that we have scheduled for 2024. These tournaments have the potential for our range to earn some additional income to help operate and make improvements to the Range.
