On June 3, 2026 our beloved friend, Jerry Hay, passed away. He was 79 years young and will be terribly missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know him. His contagious laughter, wealth of information as a Riverlorian and kind soul left an impression on everyone he met, whether it was a traveler passing through town, friend, family or complete stranger. We are sending our prayers and love to his family and friends

Our park is not only close to historic Natchitoches and located on a beautiful oxbow lake of the Red River, with access to the scenic Saline Bayou, but also in the heart of Kisatchie National Forest's 5 districts with over 604,000 acres for public use. There are over 400 miles of well marked hiking and biking trails, They have 4 designated ORV trails and roads. Great hunting and fishing is allowed.
