Nashville Dolphins The Nashville Dolphins is an aquatics program for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Programs are free to all thanks to community support!

It is the Nashville Dolphins' mission to combat the alarming statistics of drowning deaths in children and adults with special needs. We provide FREE, lifelong, water safety and comprehensive adaptive aquatic programming for the special needs' community. Our participants are empowered to experience the joy and pride of being a lifetime member of the Nashville Dolphins team at no cost. We strive to

enhance the quality and safety of the daily lives for both our participants and their family members by delivering comprehensive adaptive aquatic programs within a safe and socially supportive community environment. The Dolphins welcomes volunteers (in and out of the water) at any of our swim practices, classes, or social activities. No experience is necessary, just a kind heart and a willingness to learn. Volunteering with our swimmers will be one of the most rewarding, fun experiences you've ever done. Nashville Dolphins is looking for a paid, certified lifeguard to support our adaptive swim programming at University School of Nashville. 🐬💙

Available shifts include:
👉 Mondays from 5:30–7:00 pm
👉 Tuesdays from 6:00–7:30 pm
👉 Or both!

This past weekend, our Lead Instructors came together for an in-service training focused on preparing for another great season with our swimmers! 💙🐬

We started in the classroom reviewing our curriculum, policies, class structure, and lesson preparation before heading to the pool for hands-on training, skill demonstrations, and time to work through questions together.

We’re so grateful for the care and preparation our instructors bring to every lesson, and we can’t wait to welcome our swimmers back to the pool in September! 🏊‍♀️✨

A diagnosis can feel isolating. But here, no one does it alone 💙🐬

What started as swim lessons became something more. We are so proud of the community we’ve been able to foster, with parents who understand, support, and show up for each other!
