Indiana Disc Golf Hall of Famer and course designer, Jerry Suiter, created great disc golf layouts on some of Indiana's most beautiful landscape in the hills of the Brown County Country Club / BC3. I enjoy being so close to wildlife and being away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

This weekend brought wonderful weather to accent our fall colors here at BC3. A lot of people came out to enjoy it!

It was also a perfect day to say our final farewell to Dick and Mary Shively, or mom and dad to those of us who own and operate the Brown County Country Club / BC3. Our family and dear friends gathered to help us celebrate Mom's life. My sister Annie built beautiful dioramas depicting their lives and to house some of their ashes. We placed them in the Catalpa tree on hole #22 so they have an eternally gorgeous view of the property they loved.

Mom and Dad acquired the club in 1988, and they were excellent stewards until we (their kids) decided in 2015 to build a world class disc golf facility for you to enjoy. They supported us even though we had little idea where we'd end up. Many of you met Dad on the course while he was either watching you golf, napping, or working.

So next time you're out here playing disc golf or just enjoying the walk, and you want to show some appreciation or pay some respects: just tip your hat to our folks on hole #22!
