The Tigullio Sport Team is a basketball academy founded by General Prosecutor (Judge) Dr. Pio Macchivello that has been developing comprehensive basketball training in youth sports since 1974. The academy is located in Santa Margherita Ligure, Italy which lies on the North-West coast of Italy off the shores of the Ligurian Sea North of the island of Corisca. S.Margherita Ligure is about 260 miles East of Marseilles, France and 300 miles North of Rome, Italy and is famous for being a resort location and a fishing port.

Currently Tigullio Sports is recruiting athletes for boys born in 1998,1999,2001,2002 for its Athletic Scholarship program that provides elite Italian education concentrated in the fields of Humanities, Arithmetic/Science, Technology, Professional Studies (business), and Artistic Scholastics as well as comprehensive basketball training and competition.
