Our most recent was a holdover lightning fire on Brown Mtn located on the High Cascades Ranger District that was corralled at a half an acre yesterday. Crews will continue to work the Brown Fire for the next few days until declared out.
In preparation of triple digit heat and the holiday weekend, we have increased fire and law enforcement presence. Over the July 4 holiday, remember no fireworks are allowed on public lands. Be extra careful when towing trailers (don’t let chains drag) and avoid parking over dry vegetation.
