It’s June! Which means it’s really time to get the cameras out if you haven’t already. As I’m preparing my setups I’m thinking of making a YouTube tutorial on my camera strategy that’s really landed me on some quality bucks the past couple of years. Should be posting this one in the next week so be on the lookout!

It’s hard to tell this time of year when bucks start growing their bases what they’ll turn into. But every now and then you get something interesting starting out that catches your attention! Time to get the cameras out and get to scouting.

A lot of people including myself switch to turkey hunting and fishing this time of year. But it’s possibly one of the best times of the year to scout areas you normally wouldn’t want to push deer out of. You can see the major trails with the spring rains. It’s a bonus when you get to find a nice mess of morels to while scouting!

Haven’t posted in a while but wanted to let my followers know I got my 31 point public land deer back! I’ll be at the illinois Deer Classic this Friday the 21st if anyone wants to see it in person and chat. I’ll be getting it scored by North American whitetail that day and I’m looking forward to seeing many of the other giant deer that were taken in the state

Really went back and forth with this one earlier this week. Decided to give him the pass and hope he makes it through the season. It’s starting to heat up and we’re seeing a lot of cruising!

No matter what side of the fence you fall on you have the right to vote today. Take the 10-20 minutes out of your day and stop by your local election office and exercise that right.🦌🇺🇸
