It’s RACE DAY !!!!! 🏁🏁🏁🏁

Please help us wish Abel good luck & safety as he takes on day 2 of the New Smyrna Little 500!

Yesterday started really rough… really rough. Driver error mostly. He really had to alphabet soup. It was a mess.
He started in the lowest mains in all classes.

•Jr Honda he made the transfer to the D, made the tranfer spot, & got put into the wall under caution & had to pit putting him in the rear with minimal laps to go. Our day ended here.
•Jr Animal he started in the C main & made the transfer all the way to the A!!!! Started in the rear of every race & didn’t let up once. We are so proud of him!
•Jr 160 he started in the C main, made the B main, & came up just shy of the transfer spot into the A-main. He drove great though & we were proud of him for his efforts.
•LWF had a lower car count so everyone made the A-main from the heat. He will have his work cut out for him today in this class starting in the rear. We are definitely still learning this car & class, so we have no expectations. We are just excited to see what all he can do!

Today: we have 3 A-mains to run, 3 B-mains to run. (Some of these are from qualifying the day before yesterday!)

Yesterday they did single car qualifying & he did a great job in all 4 cars. We are so proud of him & we are so excited to see what he can do today!

Happy birthday to our favorite guy, Papa! 🏁

He is the man with the plan who always makes it happen for us. He is the best crew chief, driver, dad, & grandpa. We truly couldn’t be more thankful to have a man like him to guide us. We are lucky to be loved by him!

Papa, thank you for your constant support. Thank you for the countless hours you spend working for your business, The Truck Shop LLC., & for working so hard on my race cars. My love of racing started because of you & I owe it all to you.

Thank you for everything. You’re my hero & my very best friend! 🏁

🦃 Turkey Gobbler recap 🏁

What an eventful weekend! It’s always the best when we get to spend the weekend with our favorite people doing what we love the most!

Abel raced his heart out all weekend long. He made us SO proud.

🦃 Jr Honda (Booster)- he made the A-main straight from the heat race. In the A-main he had 3rd place sewed up when a car spun in front of him & another car tried to dodge it & Abel went airborne into the wall coming to the checkered flag. It was a HARD hit. He got checked out by the medics & thankfully was ok. He drove a great race!

🍗 Jr Animal (Beetlejuice)- he was ready to roll even after the wreck in Jr Honda. He stayed smooth & raced smart. He finished the A-main with a 3rd place finish! 🥉

💪🏼 LWF (Venom)- he made his LWF debut & he absolutely KILLED IT! He was so nervous, but we reminded him just to do his best, stay smooth on that wheel & let’s see what we can do. & man, he exceeded all expectations! He finished 4th & came close to a 3rd place finish. He fought hard & we couldn’t be more proud of him!

⛈️ Jr 160 (Thunder)- Abel ran a great race. After the battle, he ultimately finished 4th.

Overall, it was a great race day. Abel exceeeded all of our expectations & we love going to spend time in Huntsville with all of our racing family. The Turkey Gobbler is truly one of our favorite races of the year & we are thankful for the fellowship & our gracious hosts at Huntsville Quarter Midget Association - HQMA!

ITS RACE DAY AT Huntsville Quarter Midget Association - HQMA!!! 🏁🏁🏁🏁

Today he will be making his Light World Formula debut!! He said he was a little nervous, but mainly excited. He is determined to figure out this new class & we couldn’t be more proud of him!

Today he turns 9 & he is ready to spend the weekend doing what he loves- RACING! 🏁

He will be making his Light World Formula debut this weekend at the Huntsville Quarter Midget Association - HQMA Turkey Gobbler!!

We have had a great day with family & we couldn’t be more thankful for this time to slow down & enjoy each other!! 💙

Tonight we are heading out to Huntsville Quarter Midget Association - HQMA for the Annual Turkey Gobbler where Mama will race in the moms race & Abel will race his first Light World Formula race! 🏁

It was a GREAT day to be an Abel McKnight Racing fan!

Yesterday at our charity race Abel won 2 Heat races & 1 feature.

He finished:
🏁 1st Jr 160
🥈 2nd Jr Animal
🥉 3rd Jr Honda

His Jr Animal Race was probably our favorite race of the year. Him & Nash Greenfield Racing raced HARD. it was truly a toss up between who was going to win. It was so fun to watch them battle! Ultimately Nash came out on top & we are so proud of him! Thank you for the good, clean, competition!

Mama took her first WIN in the mom’s race! & she finally earned her a feature winner sticker! She’s ready to go for the mom’s race at Huntsville Quarter Midget Association - HQMA’s Turkey Gobbler! She had a blast racing with Duncan Larson Racing!

& our favorite part of the day was seeing all of our people who came to support our A-main Abel! We have the best family & friends who never fail to show up for him. He was so excited to have the biggest cheering section! There is nothing better than spending the day doing what you love with the people you love the most! 🫶🏼
