Get to know our Technical Director Marcos ⚽️

Born in Caracas, Venezuela, and a dual citizen of Spain, Marcos began his soccer journey at just 4 years old in his hometown.

He developed as a player in Caracas, where he spent most of his youth career with Deportivo Petare, before moving to Barcelona, Spain, where he competed with CF Gavà and CF Barceloneta.

Marcos began his coaching career in 2015 as a Goalkeeper Coach in Spain. As his passion for coaching grew, he expanded into team coaching and earned his professional licenses. He has coached with Estudiantes de Caracas (Venezuela), Deportivo La Guaira (Venezuela), CE Sabadell (Spain), and FC Barcelona (Spain), gaining elite-level experience in player development.

He holds a UEFA A-equivalent Level 2 coaching license (ACADEF – Spain), a Certificate in Football Tactical Analysis (Barça Innovation Hub), goalkeeper coaching certifications with Valencia CF and CONMEBOL, and the U.S. Soccer National C License.

In 2021, Marcos moved to Nashville to join Barça Academy Nashville as a Goalkeeper Coach and Head Coach. Since 2024, he proudly serves as the club’s Technical Director.

Marcos is passionate about all levels of the game and believes soccer is a powerful tool to teach values, discipline, and life skills both on and off the field.
