New players always welcome! The New Hampshire Wolves Hurling Club, formed in 2006 by combat veterans from the New Hampshire Army National Guard, are N.H.’s first American-born hurling club. The Wolves call Nashua NH home with a field up the road in Merrimack NH

In 2011, the Wolves were the subject of a Pentagon Channel documentary “Two Fields One Team,” broadcast to U.S. military networks around the world. The documentary remains popular with military and hurling enthusiasts in the U.S. and Ireland through podcasts and YouTube recordings. Our indoor league begins end of January and goes through April, where we play on Wednesday evenings at NH Sportsdome. From snow melt until mid September, the regular season takes place at the fields next to the Merrimack Budweiser Biergarten and you can find us hitting the pitch, every Tuesday and Thursday evening. Dan joined the Wolves in 2009, shortly after returning home from his enlistment in the Marine Corps. While bartending, he was approached by a group of veterans who recruited him to join the team. Despite knowing nothing about the sport or the team, he was all in. And he’s been all in ever since.

In 2006, hurling was brought to the Granite State by a group of New Hampshire Army National Guard soldiers. Twenty years later, what they started continues on.

We’re fortunate to have many club members who were there in the early days still going strong, with several having played with the Wolves for over a decade.

The Wolves played in ANOTHER back to back series of hurling and football codes over the weekend. Again, this wasn't the season we imagined but there have been lots of new players to the game and to the sport(s) that have joined the Wolves, and jumped right into matches. There are still lots of moments during the matches we can see the old Wolves form shine on the pitch.

A tough transition year without a homefield, but the Wolves spirit is still strong on the pitch. Alot of new to the team and to the sport players are gaining valuable on field experience. Great effort Wolves!
