Dallas accountant John Battaglia shot Faith and Liberty during a visit on May 2, 2001, after he and their mother, Mary Jean Pearle, had split.

He put her on speakerphone, had Faith ask why Mom wanted Daddy in jail, then fired as the girls begged him to stop. Pearle heard the shots and called 911.

At trial his lawyers argued bipolar disorder. Jurors convicted him of capital m*rder in 19 minutes and later gave him death.

Texas executed him Feb. 1, 2018.

The case is circulating again while the Lindsay Clancy jury is still out.
