Scouts have the opportunity to hike, swim, climb, shoot, fish and much more during their stay. Ranachqua has a proud history of providing one of the most comprehensive and educational outdoor programs anywhere in the country! As part of the 12,000 acre Ten Mile River Scout Reservation (second in size only to Philmont), Ranachqua also has access to our two neighboring Scout camps, Camp Aquehonga an

d Camp Keowa. Both of these camps feature low and high COPE courses, and a number of other exciting opportunities. Unique to camps at Ten Mile River, Scouts can also climb and rappel on the famous Indian Cliffs, overlooking the Delaware River. Scouts, Leaders and Parents all agree when it comes to Ranachqua as their choice for the premier outdoor program in the Northeast Region. Sean Johnson, volunteer TMR weekend ranger, co-chair TMR Trail committee will lead a discussion about backpacking the trails of Ten Mile River Scout Camps. Johnson is an Eagle Scout, who has volunteered his time revising the trails and map of the camp. A Q&A will occur after the presentation. Scouts participating can meet some of the requirements of Backpacking, Camping and Hiking merit badges.
