NorthWood Youth Baseball/Softball League The focus of the NorthWood Youth Baseball/Softball League is to create a fun and learning environment We are committed to enriching the lives of our youth.

The Northwood Youth Baseball and Softball League desires to provide a healthy environment for the youth of our communities. Our focus is to encourage participation, develop character and discipline, promote teamwork and community pride. We will strive to provide quality instruction in the development of baseball skills, sportsmanship, competitiveness and fair play. While we respect the competitive

nature of the game of baseball, we will treat individual and team success/failure as a vehicle for growth and development.

🍿 Popcorn is ready!! If you want to pick it up before your next game, just text me at 574-209-9926, someone is almost always home and can get you to your order. Otherwise we will bring it to games and place it by your dugout.

Also, if you have “NorthWood Crunch” in your order, it is labeled as “Caramel and Peanuts”. Sorry for the confusion.

A Reminder About Sportsmanship at Summer Baseball/Softball Games

Dear Parents and Coaches,

As we enjoy another summer season, we would like to remind everyone that recreational sports are about much more than wins and losses. Our primary goal is to provide a positive, safe, and enjoyable experience where young athletes can learn, grow, and develop a love for the game.

We know at this time of the season competition levels get elevated. We ask all parents, family members, and coaches to model the sportsmanship and respect we hope to instill in our players.

Please remember to:

Cheer positively for all players.
Respect coaches, umpires, and volunteers.
Refrain from arguing calls or engaging in confrontational behavior.
Encourage effort, teamwork, and improvement rather than focusing solely on the score.
Demonstrate self-control and respect, even during competitive moments.
Allow coaches to coach and players to play without sideline criticism or instruction.

Our athletes are always watching and learning from the adults around them. By creating a supportive environment, we help build confidence, character, and a lifelong appreciation for sports.

Thank you for helping make our ballpark a place where every player can have fun, compete fairly, and create lasting memories.

Bats ! Lots of questions about bats; legal vs illegal. So friendly reminder, all baseball- Minors and Majors bats must have a USA Baseball stamp on them. It may have others too, but that is the one it Must have. Same rule does Not apply for softball can have any legal marking except Slowpitch Only.
