With research and our relentless pursuit of the best training methods, we combine tested and proven training methodologies to help you become the best version of yourself in sports, life and wellness. At Think Outside The Diamond Sports Performance (TOTDSP) we train all different people and athletes from many different sports. You might be thinking that TOTDSP just works with baseball players, in

fact we have worked with many athletes from different sports. We also offer semi private training sessions as we do not train more than four athletes at a time so we can keep our training as individualized as possible. We assess each the strength athlete with a bi-physical & Neuro-mechanical screening with various tools (pressure mat, dynamometer etc) and once we have moved into training based on your goals we will utilize products such as the Shredmill to increase running force and form, Vertimax Raptor to increase explosion and power, the Fitlight system to improve reaction time and optic nerve processing and the Powerplate for vibration training. Coach Rick Saggese is an EXOS certified fitness specialist as well as a certified speed coach by CSAC. In addition he is certified and educated in bio mechanical data thru v1 sports (GRF) , Rapsodo & K Vest for the baseball & softball swing. We offer a wide range of recovery tools to help our athletes recover properly which can be used pre or post training, practices and games.

Two aspects with the shredmill we train is force and form. Here in gear 1 (power) how much force can you produce? Knee drive and good separation is key as well as powerful foot into the belt. One aspect we tend to forget is how well is their complex (LPHC) operating during movements this needs to be considered for efficient ground transfer.

🦶🏻Balance & neuromuscular control is vital as we engage our foot receptors during the baseball swing. Connecting sensory input with biophysical control is the foundation for total Controlled force recruitment not just total vector. Stay connected for optimal energy transfer thru the swing.

3 sensory aspects that affect posture during a performance movement are: visual system, vestibular, and somatic systems.

•Learning to use the ground efficiently is enhanced thru implicit exercises such as this gives the athlete their biggest opportunity to teach the CNS. We saw a big improvement with his connection after doing this drill.
