In 2025 GCR went to Grandmas Marathon in Duluth, MN. This time we want accessibility for ALL, so we kept it close by in 2026. We will have a tent at the finish line + other perks. Summer Run Camp NOW OPEN!
Elevate your running IG and your fitness level. The upper level camp provides all the guidance a middle schooler (or rising Freshman) needs to have a successful cross country season!! Elementary camps are more geared towards games and fun….. but running, goal setting, gear, nutrition and more remain our focus!

Come check out the 11th year of this camp.
Every single year we have produced a FLYRA state medalist 🏅 who had NOT earned one previously. 👀 That is kids putting the knowledge they received into practice!! Start the summer off right. June 1!

It is hard to not feel the “post marathon blues” a week removed, but what a magical moment the 130th Boston brought so many. Cheers to everyone who chased their dreams and had the courage to start the journey (which often matters more than the finish or outcome!)

Negative split(!) the tougher second half of the by 3 seconds (1:30:58 | 1:30:55).

Being conservative early on probably cost me a shot at sub 3. (a lifetime goal of mine to do so on this course) BUT it probably also allowed me to run my best section of the 4 Newton hills ever (7:09 mile 21 up 💔hill). So no regrets!! That was FULL SEND AND ALL IN today (one of my mantras). Proud as hell of BQ’ing on THE Boston course by 3:07.

38th Annual Naples Half Marathon!
First time running in 7 years, due to my increased role in helping organize and put the race on. It was only hot and humid for about 8 hours this past week, and the running gods chose race time for that. 🥵 Happy with my grind despite knowing by mile 5 that it was going to be an uphill battle.
1:24:14 - 6th in age group (I have always dreamed of placing here, and wasn’t quite good enough today. I’ll have to come back for that)/ 53rd overall (6:25 per mile pace)

Thank you to Mr Perry Silverman and his late wife Rosemarie, for the vision in 1988 to run 13.1 miles on some of the most beautiful public roads in the entire country.

Some future scholarship winners in the next 4-5 years stopping by the start line!

Sunday morning at 7am, our streets will be filled with elite athletes, locals, and people who traveled here to run one of the best courses in the USA 🇺🇸

The $50,000 in scholarships that give away each spring comes primarily from this race + thanksgiving!! (DEADLINE FOR SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS APPS FOR THIS YEAR IS MARCH 6!!)

🫡 Late salute to Elevate athlete, Scott McConnelee on his AMAZING 3hr 9min marathon performance at Grandma's Marathon 2 weeks ago!! In pretty sub par conditions he hung tough and qualified for the Boston Marathon!! 👏 🦄

Scottie came to us last fall after his BQ (Boston Qualifying) time of 3:14. Despite running great and getting 6 minutes under his qualifying time of 3:20, Boston had to hit their participant maximum of 25,000. As a result, anyone who didn’t beat their time by 6:51 was denied entry (in Scott’s case by a few seconds 😑) 🛑 🙅 THIS YEAR, Boston lowered his age required time to 3:15 (due to increasingly high demand for the worlds oldest/ best marathon and the desire to have everyone who qualifies be included). His work was cut out for him and he answered the call 📞…… EVERY SINGLE TIME. He nailed his training and with his shiny new PR, he should have no problem getting into Boston when registration opens in Sept.
