This is what it’s all about. 🏈💥

When I first started sharing the HAVOC Rate concept, that I learned from Coach Brown..the goal was never just about creating another defensive statistic. It was about giving coaches and players a measurable standard for playing FAST, PHYSICAL, and attacking football.

Seeing Chelsea HS Football take the concept, make it their own, and use it to help build a tougher, more physical culture is awesome.

They set a goal of a 30% HAVOC Rate against one of the top teams in Michigan—a roster loaded with Division I talent—and went out and posted a 35% HAVOC RATE in a huge Week 1 win! 🔥

What I love most is the BUY-IN. They challenged their players, raised the standard, tracked the things that impact winning, and the kids responded.

This is why coaches share ideas. Take something, adapt it to your program, and make it better.

Congratulations to the Chelsea coaching staff and players. Appreciate the kind words and love seeing the HAVOC mentality spreading!

Tackling Fundamentals = foundation for the season

Today at our Tackling Clinic, we kicked things off with our first two stations—building it the right way from the ground up.

🔹 Station 1: Approach & Leverage

Closing space under control, tracking near hip, and putting ourselves in position to win the rep.

🔹 Station 2: Posture & Strike

Eyes up, chest up, hips loaded—delivering force with proper pad level and violent hands.

We don’t just “talk” tackling—we teach it, drill it, and demand it:

✔️ Proper technique

✔️ Relentless effort

✔️ Finish through contact
