Skills,,Drills, and Games, Inc. is ceasing operations starting July 31, 2021. Although my goal was to re-open in August or September the Covid-19 Delta variant has presented a situation where I could not keep the students, siblings, and parents safe. I am also at high risk for the Delta variant due to a previous medical condition. I hope to open up as a non-profit sometime down the road.
The website will be discontinued as of 7/31/2021.

and I am so sorry I have to shut down. I started this program because these children needed individual instruction in a small group environment that they could not get anywhere else.
The last obstacles I could not overcome was the closing of the Players Sports Center, which was sold, and Covid!
If anyone knows of someone that would help me finish the
non-profit paperwork, I would really appreciate it!
Also, if you know of any gyms, multi-purpose rooms, or similar facilities that are available evenings and/or weekends, please let me know.

Skills, Drills, and Games Participants,
After careful consideration, I have decided to POSTPONE the balance of the Winter/Spring session. The current session ends on April 26.
As soon as conditions are deemed safe by the scientific community and infectious disease experts, I will notify you about new dates and times.
They will be on Saturdays and Sundays. There are 8 classes remaining that you will be credited for and be able to use until December 1st.
I will notify the NCC and NIU volunteers when classes resume.

Skills, Drills, and Games finishes the current session tomorrow with Volleyball! We play get the ball over the net anyway you can, bounces are OK! Bumps, Digs and sets do happen. NEXT SESSION info per photo flyer below. ALL K-5 girls and boys are encouraged to join our team.
Any child that needs to increase their sports skills, Self-Esteem, and
have fun doing it is welcomed.

Last class for soccer today, all the children are doing great. The parents invited to play at the end of
class are doing pretty good too!
We start soft shaft hockey next week.
Next session starts February 29!

Skills,Drills, and Games finished up the Baseball unit with T-Ball and Coach Pitch. Yes,
sometimes the Tee went further than the Ball but All had fun and did a great job!
Starting Football this coming week.

participating in a game of poison ball at the conclusion of class!

Winter Session Curriculum

CURRICULUM
All classes begin with stretching, calisthenics, and motor skill activities. Parachute and obstacle course activities will be interspersed throughout the program.



BASEBALL
Introduce throwing and catching, progressing from large balls to smaller balls
Introduce batting with T-ball, progressing to coach pitch baseball


FOOTBALL
Introduce how to throw a spiral
Methods of catching a football
Pass patterns
Ultimate Football


SOCCER
Introduce dribbling and ball control
Introduce passing and leading
Introduce shooting
Ultimate Soccer


HOCKEY (soft shaft floor hockey)
Introduce stick grip, dribble and ball control
Introduce passing
Introduce shooting and play hockey


VOLLEYBALL
Introduce volleyballl
Throw and catch over net
Hula hoop target game
Beachball volleyball

After each lesson, parents are encouraged to participate in a game with their children (optional).
