Well Howdy y'all.....it's your favorite piece of chocolate here....Mz. Cocoa Pearlesque....I will be throwing the first online virtual burlesque competition under the Cocoa Pearlesque Presents production!
This will be my first burlesque contest, but I have thrown many pinup contests and have produced more than 10 other shows or competitions in the last 2 years. This will be a paid contest for people to watch as well as for performers to enter. The money made from this will go to prizes and shipping. We are looking for 20 of the best, most unique and talented performers out there. Since this is virtual, it is open to people outside of the country. (People residing outside of the USA will have to pay for their own shipping of prizes.)
The contest will consist of 2 rounds. The first round will be your video submission which could put you into the final round and thus be in the show. Once you submit your act it will be judged on style, ex*****on, wardrobe and of course uniqueness. There will be a panel of 3-5 judges that will choose the final 10-20 performers that make the cut.
If you have never performed before, this will be an awesome way to get your feet wet because there will be an amateur title! If this is your first show or you are fairly new to burlesque you will want to enter for this title as well. (You must be a baby burlesque dancer, please be honest because there are ways to verify this:)
The submission due 2/5/22 can be a rough draft. It does not have to be perfect, but it does need to be able to give the judges an idea of what you’re bringing to the table.
If you do advance to the final round you will then re-record your video with final editing. It can be however you want to present your performance and include special effects.
We need the videos a month in advance because producing an actual show takes time. This way the show can come off seamless and we all know technical difficulties are a pain in the ass.
