Did you miss out on receiving the text message about the cancellation of tonight's swim meet? If so, now is the perfect time to sign up for HEST text messaging alerts!

We use SportsEngine Motion (SE Motion) to send important, time-sensitive updates, including weather delays, meet cancellations, schedule changes, etc. Verifying your phone number is easy and take about 30 seconds.

To Verify Your Phone Number:

1. Log in to your SE Motion account from HuntingtonEstatesSwimming.com by clicking on "Sign in" in the upper right corner, and then click on "My Account" from the drop down.

2. From the SE Motion dashboard, click Click "My Account."

3. In the "Account" tab, scroll down to the "Account Contact Information" section.

4. Locate your mobile phone number and click "Verify."

5. Follow the prompts to begin the verification process.

6. You will receive an email containing a verification link.

7. Click the verification link in the email.

8. Return to your SE Motion account and click "Save" to complete the process.

Please take a moment to complete this process as soon as possible so you don't miss important team communications throughout the season.

Due to the weather, tonight's swim meet at Steeple Run has been canceled.

We are currently working with Steeple Run to identify a makeup date that works for both teams. Once a new date has been confirmed, we will communicate it to all families as soon as possible.

Please note that all swimmers will need to re-declare their availability for the rescheduled meet. We understand that schedules change, and just because a swimmer was available for tonight's meet does not necessarily mean they will be available on the new date. Re-declaring will help ensure we have accurate attendance information when creating the lineup.

Volunteer positions for the meet will also be reopened. Parents will need to sign up again for volunteer jobs based on their availability for the rescheduled date. Whenever possible, we encourage volunteers to select the same role they originally signed up for, as this helps maintain consistency and ensures the meet runs smoothly.

Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and understanding as we work through the rescheduling process. We appreciate everyone's support and will share additional details as soon as they become available.

Good tips...

Raise your hand if you've ever watched your swimmer walk up to the block and immediately forget everything. Their event. Their heat. Their lane. Their own name. 😂

It happens. Meet nerves are real and they are powerful. Which is why swim parents have been solving this problem the same way for decades — with a Sharpie and their kid's forearm.

📝 HERE'S WHAT TO WRITE AND WHY
Before every meet, grab a permanent marker and write three things on your swimmer's forearm where they can easily see it:

EVENT # — This is the number of the race they're swimming in the overall meet lineup. Events are listed in order on the heat sheet, so knowing their event number tells them exactly when to start paying attention and getting ready.

HEAT # — Multiple swimmers compete in the same event in groups called heats. Your swimmer's heat number tells them which group they're in and when they swim. Heat 1 goes first, Heat 2 goes second, and so on. Miss your heat and you miss your race — so this number matters.

LANE # — This is the lane they'll be swimming in. Lanes are numbered 1 through 6 (or 8 at bigger meets), with lane 1 on the far left when facing the pool. Knowing their lane number means your swimmer walks straight to the right spot on the block with confidence — no scrambling, no confusion.

So the arm might look something like: Event 12 / Heat 3 / Lane 4. Simple. Clear. Impossible to forget when it's written right there in black marker.

📝 PRO TIPS FROM VETERAN SWIM FAMILIES
• Use a permanent marker — a regular pen will wash off in the warm-up pool before they even get to the block.
• Write it big enough to read in a hurry. Meet nerves make small print very hard to process.
• If your swimmer has multiple events, write them all — one per line, in order.
• Check the numbers together before you part ways on the pool deck. One quick confirmation saves a lot of chaos later.

First year swim families — this is one of those tips that seems small but makes a genuinely big difference on meet day. A confident swimmer who knows exactly where to go is a faster swimmer. Trust us.

By a narrow 10 point margin (347 to 337), Huntington took home the coveted plaque and a year's worth of bragging rights. Until next year! Congratulations!
