And just like that — another NSC summer is in the books. 💙
Every season we say it goes fast. Every season we mean it a little more than the last. But this one — this one was something special.
Before we close the chapter on summer 2026, we want to take a moment to say thank you. A genuine, from-the-bottom-of-our-hearts thank you to every single person who made this season what it was.
To the swimmers — for every early morning alarm, every hard practice, every race that scared you a little and every one you swam anyway. You are the reason all of this exists. Watching you grow — in the water and out of it — is the greatest privilege of this whole summer. We are so proud of every single one of you.
To the coaches — for showing up before anyone else and staying after everyone else. For knowing when to push and when to encourage. For learning every swimmer’s name, their story, and what they needed to be their best. You are the heartbeat of this conference and we are endlessly grateful for you.
To the volunteers — the timers, the officials, the concession stand crews, the setup teams, the board members, the committee chairs, and every parent who said yes when asked. You gave your time, your energy, and your weekends to make sure every meet ran smoothly and every swimmer felt supported. None of this happens without you.
To the swim families — for packing the bags, driving the carpools, sitting in the heat for hours, learning the heat sheets, cheering for kids who weren’t even yours, and making the pool deck feel like the warmest place in Naperville all summer long. You are the community that makes the NSC more than a swim conference. You make it a family.
And to all 20 teams across the NSC — thank you for bringing your heart, your spirit, your traditions, and your swimmers to this conference every single summer. 20 teams. One incredible community. That’s the NSC.
The pools will close. The Sharpies will go back in the drawer. The heat sheets will be recycled. But the memories, the friendships, the time drops, and the moments that happened on pool decks across Naperville this summer — those don’t go anywhere.
