Did you know you have options?
This is just the tip of the iceberg > we will talk more about rigging in our newsletter email going out tomorrow morning!
TLDR: silks can be more or less stretchy, we prefer the LOW stretch option for ease of use, especially during dynamics & drops. We also use thinner cut fabrics to make silks more accessible to those with less grip strength.
Some pros to stretchy fabric: it’s harder to use, so training on it and then performing on less stretchy can make you feel super strong.
Some pros to LESS stretchy fabric: It is easier to use, you have to create less tension for transitions. It is also safer because it is easier to understand how far you actually are from the ground for drops.
Do you have any interesting tidbits to share about different fabric options?
