Vinerunners Group runs: Saturdays 8:30A Downtown Joes/Thursday 6P Napa Run Co/Tuesdays 6P Redwood MS track Our main goal is having fun. and at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesdays.

Vinerunners is a Napa Valley group dedicated to friendship and our love of athletic pursuit. However, many of us train seriously to meet our individual fitness needs. In other words, we offer something for everyone! Group runs are held Thursdays at 6 p.m. on Saturdays, meeting at the Napa Running Company, 942 Main St., in downtown Napa. A weekly track workout is held at 6 p.m. There are many other fun events scheduled throughout the year. Please contact us for more information.

Meet at the corner of Hillcrest and Westgate Drive. We will warm up running an easy mile & dynamic stretch together. Level one 6-8 x hill repeats
Level two 8-10 x hill repeats.
Cooldown as you desire. A nourishing meal and good stretch is recommended post workout.

Vinerunner Tuesday Track, May 26, 6:00 pm, Redwood Middle School. Sneaky miles is on the menu! You can refer to a training pace calculator online using your True Mile or another recent race to dial in your workout goal pace.

Warm-up: Jog 4 easy laps, strides, dynamic stretches

LEVEL 1:
1200-400-1200-400
Otherwise same as Level 2.

LEVEL 2:
1200-400-1200-400-1200-400
Run the 1200s at 5K pace. Run the 400s at mile pace.
Jog/walk a 400 recovery after each effort.

Cooldown: Jog several easy laps, mobility work, stretch, foam roll, hydrate and eat well.

TRUE MILE: Tuesday, May 19 at 6 p.m., Redwood Middle School. Don’t miss this fun annual event to run 1600 meters and an additional 9 meters to equal 1 mile with your Vinerunner buddies.

If there is a large group, 2 heats will be run. The Fast heat will go first (approxametely 7 min/mile and above) and the Fastest heat will go second (faster than 7 min/mile). If you can, please indicate in advance under the comment section if you plan to run the”Fast” or “Fastest” heat. This will make organizing and executing the True Mile smoother and more efficient.

Warm-up: Jog an easy 4 laps, strides, dynamic stretches and whatever else you need to prepare your fast twitch muscles.

Cooldown: Jog a few easy laps and stretch while the organizers prepare for the awards ceremony.

Carpool 0615am Saturday 5/9 for Wine Marathon half

Let’s meet at 0615am at the park and ride on Solano and Redwood to carpool/caravan to Yountville V Marketplace for shuttle parking to the start line. We can have our spectators pick us up at the finish in Yountville and/or carpool back to the park and ride to your vehicles post race. So excited for this unique point to point run! There is still registration open today. Bib pickup is 12-8pm at Domain Chandon today only. No race day pick up available. There will be gear check available tomorrow. No specific team dress for tomorrow. Feel free to wear Vinerunners shirts, NRC shirts, sparkly skirts or even costume if that’s your thing. Let’s have fun year one out there!

Warm up on the road Wine Country to Linda Vista and back. Dynamic stretching. Long hills (600 meters) uphill effort hard with downhill recovery jog/walk.

Level 1: 3-4x Level 2: 5-6x

Cool down same as warm up.

I’ll have the “cone zone” for the fast finish at the top where it levels out to work on pace on tired legs.

Be sure to foam roll/stretch and eat a nutritious meal. Maybe tacos???

Bathrooms are located at the south entrance so plan ahead. Water fill is also at the south entrance. Weather looks favorable for running.

Let’s meet at the park and ride on Solano and Redwood at 6:15am to carpool/caravan up to Pacific Union College for race day. The 26k starts at 0800 and the 10k starts at 0830. It is a cupless event so plan accordingly. Post run plans are Gotts in St Helena

Meet at the kiosk of skyline park. This week we will go counterclockwise. You can use this 3.3 miles run/hike as a shakeout for Angwin to Angwish on Sunday 5/3! We will be done by 0830 to get a loop in one hour. Getting ready for our training series coming up! Otherwise the Saturday group run meets as usual at Veterans park/Downtown Joes at 0830.

3 x 1000 meters (2-1/2 laps) at 5K pace, 400 meter recovery.

Level 2:
5 x 1000 meters (2-1/2 laps) at 5K pace, 400 meter recovery.
