To Our Incredible Volunteers — Refs, NSOs, Medics, Announcer, Photographer & Skaters 💜💚
What an absolute BLAST our Parents vs. Kids fundraiser was! The laughter, the playful competition, the proud smiles, the epic jams — none of it would have been possible without every single one of you.
To our referees and NSOs, thank you for keeping the fast-paced fun organized, safe, and fair. To our medics, thank you for being ready and present so families could skate hard with confidence. To our announcer Cedric Vengetachalliam thank you for bringing the energy, the play-by-play, and the hype that made the whole night feel electric. To our photographer, Shutter Thug Photography thank you for capturing the falls, the victories, and the pure joy so these memories can live on long after the wheels stop rolling. And to our skaters — parents, coaches, and kids — thank you for showing up with heart, humor, and true derby spirit.
We also want to give special appreciation to everyone who rolled with the last-minute changes. From quick schedule shifts to lineup adjustments and those “on-the-fly” fixes that nobody sees but everyone feels — your flexibility and teamwork made the night seamless. Events like this don’t just happen. They are built by people who care deeply and step up when it counts.
Our volunteers are the backbone of this league. Because of you, we get more than a fundraiser. We get connection. We get parents and coaches stepping onto the track beside their kids, sharing the very sport that teaches grit, teamwork, and resilience. We get memories that will be talked about at dinner tables and in car rides for years to come.
There is something incredibly powerful about a child seeing their parent or coach lace up, try hard, fall down, laugh, and keep going. It reinforces support. It builds confidence. It shows our kids that they are surrounded by adults who believe in them — not just in words, but in action.
Thank you for giving your time. Thank you for giving your energy. Thank you for believing in this team and in these kids. Fundraisers like this strengthen our league, but more importantly, they strengthen our families and our community.
