Liberty is Hiring!

Liberty Charter School is taking applications for an experienced bus driver to drive a 2017 MCI J45000 58-passenger motor coach to transport the school’s sports teams and coaches to athletic events, and to occasionally transport students and teachers to off-campus activities. Those applying must hold a valid commercial driver’s license, and if offered the position be able to pass a background check, as well as a drug screening and a Department of Transportation physical prior to start date. This is a part-time position. The pay is $25-30 per hour, depending on experience. The successful candidate must be willing and able to work a varied schedule. Sports schedules will be provided well in advance for planning purposes. Congratulations to another Liberty senior! We just learned that Jess was named a recipient of the Nampa Mayor's Golf Scholarship for 2021. The $2,000 scholarship will be awarded June 11 and will go toward Jess' post-secondary education. Well done! Thank you Mayor Kling and the Nampa Golf Commission for recognizing outstanding Nampa students in this manner!

Liberty had a super successful state track meet this past weekend. The boys placed 5th overall! The girls medley relay team placed 5th and the boys medley relay team placed 4th. Connor placed 2nd in the 3200 and the 1600, Luke placed 6th in the 100, Kawika placed 4th in the 800 and McKinnon placed 3rd in the 400. The girls 4x400 relay team placed 5th and the boys 4x400 relay team placed 2nd and broke the school record! Congratulations Liberty Track & Field!

Tickets are available through GoFan only - tickets will NOT be sold at the gate. The State Track Tournament for Liberty will be held at Middleton High School this Friday and Saturday (May 21-22).

Another great weekend for Liberty's Track Teams! Going to State this coming weekend!
Congratulations to both the girls' and boys' track teams as both placed 2nd overall this past weekend at the District championships. The girls' team qualified for state in 5 individual events and all 4 relays. The boys' team qualified for state in 10 individual events and 2 relays. Here are the district champions from Liberty:

Connor Gardner - 1600
Boys Medley Relay Team
Boys 4x400 Relay Team
Girls 4x400 Relay Team

It's hard to believe the track season is already winding down with the IA WIC Championship tomorrow, May 7, at Columbia High School; then Districts on May 14 & 15 at New Plymouth HS, and finally State at Middleton HS on May 21 & 22. Since the May 7 meet is local, take a quick drive over to Columbia and watch these super student athletes! Field events begin at 3:30pm and running events at 4:30pm.
