Coaches have a three-part job:
Create safe spaces for players to be aggressive.
Then engineer the pressure where that aggression is most likely to fail.

Then guide them to get back up — same enthusiasm, same aggression, same belief — every single time they fall short.

That’s how resiliency gets built. Organically. Long before gameday ever shows up.
Kept your three-movement structure

Players have to:
Challenge yourself mentally in practice — it’s the safest place to fail.

Fail in private. Get polished in public.

Man, this is beyond what I even imagined.

For years in my niche — people close to me didn’t get it. They saw a basketball coach. They didn’t see the mental coach, the faith coach, the character coach, the mindset mentor all rolled into one. But I knew that piece was integral to reaching our goal.

So I went outside the box. Took what I’ve always done — but formalized it. Structured it. Refused to settle for skill development alone.

Mental development. Character support. The whole thing.

Day 1 proved it works.

Unfulfilled at the impact? Nah. Beyond fulfilled at the experience.

Day 2 can’t come fast enough. Let’s go. 🔥

Colorado players are a huge part of my why! Pouring into them is what made me a trainer. The early mornings, the gyms here, the kids who trusted me — is what eventually let me mentor professional athletes across the country and contribute to McNeese State making it to the NCAA Tournament.

It started here. With players like yours.

And somewhere in those 20 years I found the thing nobody’s training: the mental side. The mindset. The support, the strengthening, the protection of what’s going on between a competitor’s ears. Skill gets developed everywhere. That part gets ignored everywhere.

May 19 & 21, this is the first time I’m putting all of it together in one place — the skill, the mind, the character, the internal work — and I’m bringing it home to Colorado.

Don’t let an underdeveloped mindset be the reason your player falls short of what they’re actually capable of.
