So when I channel my overthinking into everything God has done, I go overthankful — and ain’t got no time to overthink negative.

First off — shoutout to a real one, my good friend Erick Jr. , for making this happen.

I got to interview my favorite comedian growing up. Bucket list, no question. But being honest, that wasn’t the reward. The reward was getting to sit across from somebody who’s been consistently great for three decades and ask him how.

I’ve held tight to something I heard years ago: when great people reach greatness, they aspire to be even greater.

Cedric The Entertainer is that in real life. Kings of Comedy alone is enough for most people to coast on forever. He told me:

“As dope as Kings of Comedy was — it was 2001. I’m not getting ready to live off that.”

Still hungry. Still building. Still leaving it all on the floor.

I came for the bucket list. I left with the blueprint.
