WE ROCK Bagdad, AZ 2019
A quick rundown of Central Washington Crawlers last weekend at the first round of the WE ROCK WEST Competition.
Saturday started of a little on the rough side. It was raining which made it pretty muddy and this was actually the first time Jesse (my spotter) and I had a chance to work together and the first time we had the car out after changing all the controls, switches and brake levers over. We finished the first course with a +30 which put us way back right off the start. The next 2 courses were much better and things started to come together. We took a step back on the final course with a 15 when we went for "hero or zero" and finished the day in 8th place with a 53.
Sunday...We started the day with the mentality of nothing to lose and go all or nothing. The first course of the day was much better than the first course of Saturday...we ended up with a +2 which wasnt to bad followed by our best course of the weekend at a -38. I felt like we were finally starting to get some momentum gaining confidence in each other. After a -9 and a +3 on the next 2 courses we finished up the weeked at a total score of +11 for 5th place out of 16 competitors. Not a bad weekend all in all for our first competition together with a car that we had zero time in before the weekend.
I would like to thank everybody that has helped and made this possible. Without all of you this would not have happened!
