I had my first child and then rode the"its just baby weight" train for a while. I was tired, stressed, and had low energy. My journey started in January 2011. I was just a year post-partum and still had 15lbs baby weight on. It was time to make a change. I knew I need to focus on my nutrition. Exercise had always come fairly easy to me, but nutrition was my challenge. I joined Weight Watchers and
had good success, but it was very slow success. I lost 24lbs, but it took 2+ years. I began to understand food and my relationship with it. Fast forward to summer 2014. In 2012 I had added running to my regimen. Over the course of 2 years, I complete 5 half marathons. I was using my increased activity to offset my increased eating. :) "I run for wine" was my mantra. I needed to refocus and get my nutrition back on track. A friend was thinking about doing the 21 Day Fix and asked me to join her. I had once tried P90X, but I was still 30+lbs over weight and it was tough. When my friend asked me to join her on the 21 Day Fix journey, I was in a much better place and I loved that the focus wasnt just fitness-- it was nutrition based too. Just what I needed. I bought my first Challenge Pack and havent looked back! I lost 6lbs in my first round of 21 Day Fix and it pushed me over my plateau. I loved the workouts, the nutrition component (so easy!) and the Shakeology. My degree is in Physical Education with a focus in Fitness. I've worked as an Acct. Manager for a corporate fitness company for 10 years. Sadly, while I am in the industry, I'm distant from the end user. I'm missing out on educating and coaching people-- and that is what I love to do! Jumping in and signing up as a Coach has given me the opportunity to get back to what I love to do-- helping and educating people. If you've made it this far- thank you! Know that I am passionate about health, wellness and fitness. I am here to help you, encourage you, tackle hurdles with you and support you on YOUR journey!
