YMCA Hammerheads Swim Team The Mystic Hammerheads are a school age swim team that runs through most of the year. Join us to work on improving swimming techniques and endurance!

Hello and welcome to the Hammerheads Swim Team Page! We are a competitive swim team for school age kids that runs from September to March. Our main goal is to help young swimmers (ages 6-19) work on swimming techniques and practices to help them succeed in training and meets. We also focus on team building and good competitive practices to help our swimmers take their swimming knowledge to the col

legiate level. During the off season we will be hosting a Spring/Summer session to keep swimmers in shape and also introduce new swimmers into the swimming world. Stay tuned for details! Our 2025 Hammerhead Swim-A-Thon is underway! Swimmers will be swimming laps to collect donations for the team!

This is our largest fundraiser of the year and all donations go straight to the swim team itself for future events and team needs.

Flat donations or checks are welcome! Checks can be made out to Mystic Hammerhead Swim Team.

Swimmers only need to attend ONE of the two evaluation nights and must be registered through the front desk of the Y.

Evaluation Timeline:
10&Unders 5:00-5:30 PM
11-14s 5:30-6:00 PM
15&Overs 6:00-6:30 PM

We will be hosting a brief parents meeting for parents of swimmers who are new to joining the Mystic Hammerheads Wednesday August 13th at 5:00 PM near William’s Beach outside of the front entrance of the Mystic YMCA!

This is a great time for parents to ask any questions about the upcoming season!
