There isn’t just one “right” way to breathe — there are different gears, and your body uses them for different jobs.

1) Diaphragm / belly breathing
Best for: downshifting stress, finding a calmer “center,” easy movement prep.
Cue: Slow exhale, let ribs drop, feel the belly expand on the inhale.

2) 360 / ribcage breathing (my go-to for training)
Best for: lifting, bracing, stability without stiffness.
Cue: Inhale into ribs/back/sides (not just belly), then exhale to “set” the ribs.

3) Chest / accessory breathing
Best for: high intensity (sprints, hard sets), but it can overwork the neck if it becomes your default.
Cue: Use it when you need it — don’t live there.

If you want a quick “which one should I use for YOUR workouts?” comment BREATHE and I’ll reply with a simple guide.

Rows hit your biceps/neck more than your back?

Try this next set:
✅ Inhale on the reach (get the stretch)
✅ Exhale as you pull (ribs stacked) #
✅ Light grip + relaxed neck

DM “CHAT” + the exercise that feels hardest right now and I’ll give you a quick starting point.

If workouts always show up more in your neck, hips, or low back, it’s often not that you’re “broken.”
It’s usually a movement pattern problem.

Most people try to go heavier before they can control position, and that’s when tension shows up in the wrong places.

My coaching order is:
control + position → then load → then volume

Want a quick starting point?
Message me “CHAT” and tell me what feels hardest right now (squat, row, pressing, planks, etc.).
