This trail goes to the Seven Prongs area between Enterprise Landing and Bucksport Marina and a couple of additional creeks.

We started down river from Enterprise Landing and crossed over to go up the first prong, Oatbed Creek. As we were exiting the prong , we saw our first gator.

We exited to our right towards the orange buoy. Just on the other side of the buoy is a small entrance to the next prong. We went up the prong and came back down, past where we entered, to the end of the prong.

We exited to the left and crossed over the Waccamaw River to Peach Creek. We got to see 3 gators in that creek.

We exited Peach Creek to the left and went up Clark Creek and saw our last gator there.

We left Clark Creek and went down river and stopped at what we call 32 beach. We call it that because it is near navigational marker 32. I have added the map that shows the navigational marks between Enterprise Landing and Bucksport Marina. The markers help boaters where they are and lots of the time these markers are at the entrance of creeks and other key areas.

The beach is a nice camping beach, if you don't mind camping where there is a grave for a dog that dies May 2024.

We left and went down river to the entrance to Old River to go back up to the rest of the Seven Prongs. The first prong has an old shrimp boat at the entrance. So we call it Shrimp Boat Creek.

We then paddled up the rest of the prongs. There were a lot of extensions on all of the prongs and creeks, but didn't have time to do them all.

I plan on visiting everyone of these creeks and prongs again, but I plan on creating a map for each of them. I will start the trail at the beginning and end it as I exited. Then do it all over again for the next trail. This way it will be easier to know where each extension it is and know exactly the mileage for each trail. That way if someone is looking at doing this paddle, but wants to make it shorter. They decide which creek or prong to skip.

I have added 3 addition small maps to this post. I have added them to make it easier to decide how someone may want to modify the original trail. The paddler can decide whether they want to do a certain portion if the paddle or not.

One map is of the Peach Creek, which is 1.6 miles. There are not any other offshoots to explore.

One map is of Clark Creek, which is 3 miles with multiple offshoots to explore.

The other map is showing a cutover to the middle of Old River, that can be used if they do not want to visit the beach to rest or do not want to paddle downriver to the opening of Old River.

The maps on this post can be used to research the 2 paddles that were suggested in the second post on the page.

5.5 Miles - Enterprise Landing - Waccamaw River - Peach Creek - Clark Creek - Enterprise Landing

14.4 Miles - Enterprise Landing - Waccamaw River - Seven Prongs - Old River Loop

This trail is a point to point that goes from Enterprise Landing to Sandy Island Landing. It is approximately 16 miles that was done in 5 hours. It was done while the tide was going down.

Because it was a point to point, the vehicles were shuttled to Sandy Island. Use this link to see the map used to shuttle them. https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Enterprise+Landing,+SC+29588/Sandy+Island+Boat+Landing,+Pawleys+Island,+SC/@33.5829395,-79.1562812,12z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m14!4m13!1m5!1m1!1s0x8900157e5c0c43d5:0xd88aff6c42da6bf1!2m2!1d-79.0605932!2d33.6690588!1m5!1m1!1s0x89003a0553ca1ca9:0x2cd3f63e7851851!2m2!1d-79.1202239!2d33.5059242!3e0?entry=ttu

You can shorten this trip by only going to the Wacca Wache Marina and enjoy a wonderful meal at the restaurant at the marina. The trail would only be about 10 miles and would take about 3 1/2 hours to do it. Use this link for the shuttle map. https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Enterprise+Landing,+SC/Wacca+Wache+Marina,+1950+Wachesaw+Rd,+Murrells+Inlet,+SC+29576/@33.6158225,-79.1401034,12z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m14!4m13!1m5!1m1!1s0x8900157e5c0c43d5:0xd88aff6c42da6bf1!2m2!1d-79.0605932!2d33.6690588!1m5!1m1!1s0x8900393f1e196df3:0x4d506ffeb48ee23f!2m2!1d-79.0858209!2d33.5625905!3e0?entry=ttu

if you want to do a loop trip, you can go to the Bucksport Marina and back. The Bucksport Marina is not a good shuttle , because it is on the other side of the river. Bucksport is only 1 1/2 miles away, but there are some tributaries in the area to explore. Bucksport has a campground and in the summer the bar is open.

This post is showing 3 different paddles that explored north of Enterprise Landing. Then you will see a map that combines the 2 paddles together.

When the paddlers leaves Enterprise Landing, they turn towards the Intracoastal Water Way and head up the Socastee Creek. When they exit the creek, they turn right towards the Waccamaw River and go upriver. When they reach the main part of the river, they crossover the Waccamaw River and turn slightly left to go up the no name creek/waterway. When the exit, they turn upriver and go up the no name creek/waterway on the right hand side. They then exit and head back to the Enterprise Landing.

The second paddle actual starts when the paddler is exiting the second creek. If you want to extend your paddle, then turn up the Waccamaw River until you reach the #3 Navigational Marker. Paddle around the loop and head downriver. As you paddle down you will see a creek to your right. Explore up the creek. When you exit that creek, continue down river and you will see another creek to your right. Google shows a small loop there, but it is too weedy to paddle around it. Explore the next creek and then head back to Enterprise Landing.

The 3rd paddle is similar to the 2nd paddle. The explored some of the creeks more.

The maps on this post can be used to research the paddle that was suggested in the second post on the page.

4 Miles - Enterprise Landing - Socastee Creek - 2 Creeks above Enterprise Landing
This paddle is just a small exploratory paddle that leaves from Enterprise Landing and explores 3 creeks and comes back to Enterprise Landing.

5.5 Miles - Enterprise Landing - 2 other creeks above Enterprise Landing
This paddle is just a small exploratory paddle that leaves from Enterprise Landing and explores 2 creeks and comes back to Enterprise Landing.

7.4 Miles Enterprise Landing - Explored creeks across from Enterprise Landing and a 2 more north.

9.5 Miles - Enterprise Landing - 4 creeks above Enterprise Landing
This paddle is just an exploratory paddle that leaves from Enterprise Landing and explores 4 creeks and comes back to Enterprise Landing.

This post displays 2 different paddles with the approximate same turn around point. The difference is that one loops around an island and takes a slightly different route back.

Also a 3rd paddle is shown that explores a Waccamaw River extension across from Bucksport Marina.

Shorter paddles are suggested below then the longer paddles shown on the maps. I do this because some people may like to take shorter paddles, but they can use the longer paddled maps to navigate the shorter suggested paddles.

The maps on this post can be used to research the 4 paddles that were suggested in the second post on the page.

5 Miles - Enterprise Landing - Waccamaw River - Bucksport Marina - Waccamaw River - Enterprise Landing Loop
This paddle stays on the Waccamaw River by going downriver to the Bucksport Marina and back to Enterprise Landing. In the summertime there is a bar/restaurant to rest at.

8.4 Miles Enterprise Landing - Waccamaw River - Bucksport Marina - Waccamaw Extension across from Bucksport - Enterprise Landing

This paddle goes straight down to Bucksport Marina and then cuts across from the marina and goes exploring up a extension of the Waccamaw River. The paddler actually will be able to explore a little more then the map shows.

10 Miles - Enterprise Landing - Waccamaw River - Near Silver Creek - Waccamaw River Loop
This paddle stays on the Waccamaw River the whole way after leaving Enterprise Landing. It almost reaches Silver Creek and turns around back to Enterprise Landing.

The 1st map shows a trip that starts on the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway at Rosewood Landing. It heads up the waterway and loops around the Island in front of Enterprise Landing and then heads back.

The next 2 maps trip goes to Rosewood Landing and actually starts at Peachtree Landing. It passes so close to Enterprise Landing, that they can be used to navigate the paddle. Peachtree Landing is showing another trail that starts at Rosewood Landing.

It goes to Rosewood Landing, which is on the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway. The trip goes close to the Enterprise Landing, which is the first Landing to be on both the Waccamaw River and Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway in SC.

There are 2 maps to show 2 different versions of the same paddle.

The maps on this post can be used to research the paddle that was suggested in the second post on the page.

12 Miles - Enterprise Landing - Rosewood Landing - Enterprise Landing.
This paddle leaves Enterprise Landing and heads towards the Intracoastal Waterway and does a little exploring then turns around when the Rosewood Landing is reached.

6 Miles - Enterprise Landing - Rosewood Landing
