OHE 06 is in Tennessee this weekend playing in one of the biggest showcases on the East Coast. The competition will be top notch and this group will rise to the challenge, just as they always do! The event held all-star games tonight and our team was represented by Peyton & Sam. They killed it out on the field! In true OHE fashion, so many teammates and parents came out to cheer them on.

Wish this team luck as they hit the field tomorrow to do what they love! ❤️🥎❤️

This amazing group of ballers had a great tournament last weekend going 6-1 finishing runner-up to a very competitive team in the championship game. As they continue to prepare for the Scenic City Showcase in TN next month, they have entered the 16/18u division this weekend in a tournament in Richmond. This team is always up for a good challenge! GO OHE!

Orion Hunter Elite 06 ladies are back at it in the USA Fall Championship this weekend in Richmond. They are playing hard and having fun!!! Big shout out to Peyton Moran!!! She hit a 💣 over an 8ft tall center field fence at 200ft. Many more to come from this baller! Way to go P!!💪🏽🥎💪🏽

Let's celebrate Lovie’s spectacular eighth-grade year:

She was awarded the prestigious Most Valuable Eagle award at the Academy for Discovery at Lakewood. This is a huge accomplishment that recognized academic and athletic excellence. Additionally, she earned the
Physical Education & Health Award, the
Presidential award and was the Volleyball MVP.
She also took home the Outstanding Academic Achievement. Lovie makes it look easy on the field and in the classroom. Keep doing your thing kid!

OHE-McGowan would like to recognize another of our player’s remarkable middle school accomplishments.

Sophia Hough is in the class of 2024 at StoneBridge School.
She maintained High Honor Roll standing throughout Middle School.
Sophia excelled on the volleyball court at StoneBridge school playing on the JJV &JV teams. She also played club volleyball and was named captain during her 14U season.
She was also recognized in Physical Education earning the Perseverance Award for Determination & Tenacity.
In Stonebridge’s Upper School Art Show, she took first and second place.
Additionally, she volunteered her time, in service, to her community through volunteer work with Mercy Drops Dream Center. She did all of this without raising her voice above a quiet whisper!

Congratulations Sophia, you are a standout on and off the field!

Our ladies have been working hard on the field (or court) and in the classroom. We want to recognize one of our own for her middle school achievements.
Kayla Kosiorek, class of 2024 at Nansemond Suffolk Academy, has earned A’s in all of her middle school classes, and achieved high honor roll all three years. She was awarded the gold level fitness award and 6 total MVP awards in tennis, basketball and softball. She also earned her first varsity letter in tennis as an 8th grader. Way to go Kayla, we are proud of you!

OHE-McGowan had the privilege to work with Coach Brandon Elliot at our last practice. The ladies had a blast working on verbal communication, reaction times and defensive relay options. His enthusiasm and passion for coaching was contagious and the ladies soaked up his instruction. Thank you so much coach Elliot!

OHE’s Lovie Norman has been awarded with the Most Outstanding Eagle Award!! This is given to an 8th grade girl who has shown to be outstanding in both academics and athletics over their middle school career. Good character and sportsmanship are also key traits to this award. She gets an Eagle Trophy along with her name engraved on a plaque that gets displayed in the school trophy case.
OHE is proud to recognize our student athletes who excel in the classroom and on the playing field. We continue to expect great things from Lovie. Congratulations to her and her family!
