This past week was a truly special moment for our community 🎾

We are incredibly proud to celebrate two outstanding athletes as they take the next step in both their tennis and academic journeys:

Avery Combs – Davidson College
Isabel Solazzo – Stonehill College

Isabel’s signing with Stonehill College reflects years of dedication, perseverance, and steady growth. Her journey is a testament to trusting the process and continuing to improve every step of the way.

Avery’s commitment to Davidson College represents a standard of excellence built through hard work, resilience, and leadership. She has been a true example of professionalism and a team-first mindset within our program.

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate a huge milestone from Playmakers Tennis Academy athlete, Emery Combs🎾

This past week, Emery advanced to the finals of a $15K professional tournament, one of the strongest performances of her young career. Competing against a high-level field, she showed composure, discipline, and the ability to perform under pressure.

One standout moment: taking down the #3 seed, ranked No. 446 in the world—a major win that highlights her rapid rise on the international stage.

With this result, Emery is projected to break into the Top 600 in the WTA rankings—an amazing achievement and just the beginning of what’s ahead.

We’re grateful to be part of her journey. Emery continues to represent Playmakers and Prestwick with humility, class, and competitive excellence.

We’re incredibly proud to share that Playmakers athlete Emery Combs has won the Girls Doubles Championship at the ITF J300 in San Diego, CA—her second consecutive J300 doubles title! 🏆🏆

Going back-to-back at this level is an outstanding achievement and truly reflects her consistency, competitive toughness, and ability to perform under pressure against some of the best junior players in the world.

We’re proud to share an incredible result from this past weekend. Playmakers Tennis Academy player Jacob Harrelson delivered an outstanding performance at the USTA National Level 5 Tournament in Montgomery, Alabama, competing in the Boys’ 18s division against some of the top junior players in the region.

Jacob showed tremendous resilience, competitiveness, and maturity throughout the tournament.
