🚒🏒 ServiceMaster Salute: Meet the Players 🏒🚒
This week we’re proud to spotlight #26, Brendan McGrath!

Brendan anchors the center position for Myrtle Beach Fire Hockey while serving his community as a Firefighter/Paramedic with Horry County Fire Rescue assigned to Squad 18. Since joining HCFR in 2020 after moving to the area, he has spent nearly six years dedicated to serving the Grand Strand.

Brendan’s commitment to helping others extends far beyond the firehouse. He is also a member of the HCFR Dive Rescue Team and serves as a Tactical Medic for HCPD. His passion for the fire service started early, inspired by watching his father serve with the FDNY.

Originally growing up in the New York/New Jersey area, Brendan developed his love for hockey at an early age, playing travel hockey and lacing up the skates for the first time around age five. Away from work and the rink, he enjoys golfing, spending time on the water, being outdoors, and making memories with family and friends.

Brendan shared:
"I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to serve my community while continuing to play the game I’ve loved since I was a kid. Being able to live out both passions surrounded by such a strong sense of brotherhood is something I’ll never take for granted."
