A big congratulations is in order for the 65+ 3.0 Ladies squad out of Kingston Plantation! They waited out the tough conditions and when it was game time they showed up, making the Finals in Hilton Head this weekend. I think the world of these Women. They train incredibly hard, coming out to clinics three days a week, practice matches on the other days and sometimes playing for 4 straight hours in the Summer heat. Well earned accolades!

Wishing our Kingston 65’s 3.0 squad the best of luck today in Hilton Head, SC. They have been stuck inside all weekend waiting out the rain, but hopefully getting on court soon, playing short sets.  Let’s go Kingston!

Congratulations to the ultimate Green Sea Trojan, Cole Forbus on a great, hard fought performance at the individual HS state singles championships earlier this week! Played a ton of tennis and notched 3 wins coming just 1 win shy of all state honors. We’re so proud of him at Kingston!

Kingston bred, Gage VanWagner is adding to his very impressive resume’ as a 13 year old. Add starter and major contributor to a Varsity State Championship. Gage had an excellent Season starting from day 1 playing singles and doubles. At Kingston we put a lot emphasis on doubles play as it is important to be versatile to achieve a high state, southern and national ranking which allows you to get into the bigger tourneys and get seeded. Gage’s love for and extensive doubles training paid dividends in the State Championship as securing the doubles line helped Myrtle Beach HS bring home the trophy to the community we love.
Coach Jesse is here to help aspiring tennis players in the Myrtle Beach area on their journeys to tournament and/or HS success. A childhood playing tennis is incredibly beneficial to building healthy adults! Whether starting really young at 6 years old or picking it up at 11 or 12 or already an advanced player we offer it all at Kingston Plantation!

VKT’s Gage VanWagner competed in the L5 Open-Veg-All Junior Championship this past Weekend. He made the 14U Main draw singles Final in the C Flight and him and his partner Ryan won the Doubles Championship!

Wanted to congratulate these 2 for both having a great Weekend at the local L6-Bojangles Fall Classic held at RLTC. They both competed in the 16’s, which boasted a solid draw with 19 athletes. Gage was playing 2 age divisions up.
Gio has been working hard with Coach Tom McEvoy at Schminke Tennis Athletics and it’s paying off! Solid 3rd place finish for him!
Gage went 4-1 in singles and secured 5th place late Sunday in the 5-8 playoff. His favorite match was getting to play “the best player he’s ever played” in his only loss and getting 4 games off the eventual Finalist. Excellent Tourney and great job by our Friends on the Staff!
