A huge shout out to Davidson/Davidson!
4th place finish in the SBT classic. Congratulations guys. You definitely earned it against some great competition.

Big Bass is always a fun trophy to win. MGO’s Hanson/Anspach did just that! 4.39 # bass is a great catch on White Lake.

We had a good podium mix of Fremont Bass Fishing Club, Grand Haven Bassmasters, and Muskegon’s Great Outdoors teams for the High School Division at the 2026 Classic!

1st Place: Bourdeaux (Fremont)with 15.01
2nd Place: Hanson/Anspach (MGO) with 14.65
3rd Place: Maier/Crum (GH) with 14.59
4th Place: Davidson/Davidson (MGO) with 13.61

1st BIG BASS went to MGO’s Hanson/Anspach with a 4.39 big!

2nd BIG BASS went to Fremont Bass Fishing Club’s Bourdeaux with a big 3.86!

We want to thank a tournament sponsor Outdoorsmen Pro Shop, for providing gift cards to make sure an extra podium spot AND a 2nd big bass was payed out! They even provided a fun “Smallest Sack” gift card to celebrate anglers who push through a tough night and keep positive attitude!!

Here are The Classic top 4. Congratulations to the 4th place Middle School team, Vennema/Mahnke fishing for MGO. They told me they are coming back next year! I have a feeling they will be moving up the charts.

🏅MIDDLE SCHOOL CLASSIC TOP 4🏅

Zeeland Fishhawx took home the top 3 positions in the Middle School Division with a very close 4th place finish for Muskegon’s Great Outdoors Vennema/Mahnke.

1st Place: Hilliard/Schaapman with 15.64
2nd Place: Zeerip/Lemmer with 15.17
3rd Place: Vroegindewey/Muilenburg with 12.61
4th Place: Vennema/Mahnke with 12.38

1st BIG BASS went to Zeeland Fishhawx’s Hilliard/Schaapman with a big 4.13

2nd BIG BASS went to Zeeland Fishhawx’s Vroegindewey/Muilenburg with a 4.09, only 0.04 off the 1st place big bass!

Our High School AOY is a “hybrid” team consisting of an MGO angler and a Grand Haven Bassmaster angler. Owen and Hunter teamed up and ended up getting the trophy that the youth anglers try for. The coach of GHBM, Ron Scharphorn and myself, Kevin Carr just want kids on the water fishing. We are thankful that these two not only did great but, will have a lifelong friendship now.
Way to represent our two clubs gentlemen.

Hey MGO! 🎣 As the Shoreline Bass Tour season starts to wind down, we wanted to give everyone an update on how our High School teams have been doing!

We’ve had some great finishes this season, including Hanson/Anspach taking 2nd on Muskegon, Johnston/Chittenden taking 1st on Muskegon, and many more teams finishing in the top 10. We have a contender for the AOY team and can't wait for the classic to hear who winds up on top!

Happy Tuesday MGO! I have some long overdue team updates for the summer, so let's kick it off by a season recap of our teams competing in the West Michigan Bass High School and Middle School Circuits!

6 of our high school teams competed throughout the season and brought in some valuable AOY and SOY points.

Lyons/Aardema finished 6th overall for the season.
They had a 20th place finish at Hardy Dam, a 5th place finish and BIG BASS of 3.92 # at Muskegon Lake, a 7th place finish at Cadillac and finished up with a 12th place at Hamlin.

Johnston/Chittenden finished 8th overall for the season.
They finished 37th at Hardy Dam, 4th at Muskegon, 5th at Cadillac and 16th at Hamlin.

Ehnen/Alviar had some points missing in their final total, but from what I could calc they finished up in 9th overall.
They finished 5th at Hardy, 19th at Muskegon, 14th at Cadillac and 26th at Hamlin.

Sokolowski/Vallie finished 13th overall.
They finished 25th at Hardy, 9th at Muskegon and 9th at Hamlin.

Davidson/Davidson finished 17th overall.
They finished 28th at Hardy, 10th at Muskegon and 14th at Hamlin.

Macomber/Tryska finished 36th overall.
They finished 31st at Muskegon, 19th at Cadillac and 30th at Hamlin.

And Keefe/Blair finished 14th at Hardy and 27th at Hamlin.

Representing out Middle School division was team Ketchum/Harper with a 6th place overall finish.
They finished 3rd at Hardy and had the big bass of 3.06 #
They finished 4th place at Cadillac with a big bass of 3.22 #
And they finished their season with a 4th place finish at Hamlin.

HUGE congratulations to all of our anglers!
