Today we were able to get back on the field, see live reps, and gauged where we are collectively as a team.

We had a great time scrimmaging our sister Sabercats team Michigan Sabercats 13U Kelly and getting some much-needed work in before the fall season begins. Thank you for hosting us!

There were some good moments, but there’s also a lot we need to clean up. Some rust still needs to come off, and we know the level of softball we want to play this fall is going to require more from us.

That’s what these early days are for. Find the gaps. Make the adjustments. Put the work in.

We’ve got a few weeks to get sharper before we dive head first into our fall campaign, and we plan to use every one of them. Back to work, ladies. 🥎🐾

Turns out our ladies can do more than chase softballs… they can chase down dirty cars, too. 😂🧽🚗

Our 14U crew traded the dirt, cleats and bats for soap, hoses and sponges today for our Sabercats Car Wash fundraiser!

And because apparently we needed MORE chaos, our 10U Sabercats joined the fun too. 😂 The bottom picture is what happens when you put 10U + 14U together with unlimited access to water hoses. 💦

A HUGE thank you to everyone who stopped by, donated, let these girls loose on your vehicles, and supported our teams. We appreciate every single one of you!

Cars are cleaner. Girls are soaked. Money was raised.
We’re calling it a win. 😎🥎

🚨🚨 FALL SCHEDULE DROP!

We’ve got a little bit of everything on this one. A Sabercats scrimmage to get us started, a couple of State tournaments, and plenty of October softball to finish it out.

A lot of our girls will be coming and going this fall with school sports, so we won’t have our full crew every game day. That’s just part of this time of year, and we love that our girls are out there competing for their schools, too.

When we do get together, we’re going to make the most of it!

It always starts with a few names on a roster. 🥎💙🖤

Then come the practices. The long weekends. The early alarms. The dirt-covered uniforms. The car rides home replaying every inning. The wins you never forget and the losses that teach you more than you wanted to learn.

And somewhere along the way, those names become a team.

For many of these girls, their faces are already familiar. They’ve shared fields, dugouts, tournaments, friendships and plenty of battles over the years. Others are beginning their first chapter with us.

But when they put on these 12 jerseys, none of that matters anymore. These are the 12 who get to write the next chapter of our Michigan Sabercats Foster 2030/31 team.

We don’t know yet what this season will look like. That’s the best part. We just know who we’re walking into it with. 💙🖤

It’s been a BIG week at the fair for our KK! 🐷🐮💙

All of the early mornings, long days, patience, and hard work she’s put into her animals paid off in a big way!

🐷 Pigs
• 5th in Showmanship
• 3rd in Market in a big class!

🐮 Steers
• 3rd out of 22 in Showmanship for her age group
• 3rd in Market

And that steer showmanship finish came down to the wire! The judge told Kaylynn she did everything right, but her steer decided he was done cooperating at the very end. 😂 Anyone who has shown livestock knows sometimes your teammate has a mind of his own!

We love seeing our Sabercats compete outside the white lines, too. The same work ethic, composure, and determination they bring to the softball field shows up in everything they do.

Kaylynn is proud of what she accomplished this week, and she absolutely should be! 💙🥎

We are wishing you lots of luck and some BIG bids on those animals! 💰🐷🐮

Some players spend the final days of summer soaking up the sun. Cam Crow spent hers behind the plate. 🥎🔥Gear on. Mask down. Ready to work.

Over the last two days, Cam stepped into the Jen Schro Catching Great Lakes Experience with one goal: leave better than she arrived.

More than 10 hours of catching. Reps on receiving, framing, blocking, exchanges and throwing. Work on the physical side of the position, but also the confidence, leadership and mindset it takes to command the field from behind the plate.

Because catching is different. A catcher sees everything.

She communicates. She leads. She controls chaos. And when everyone else is looking toward home plate, she’s the one looking back at the entire field.

Cam embraced all of it. That’s what we love seeing from our Sabercats: The willingness to seek out great coaching. The humility to keep learning. And the hunger to put in work when nobody is requiring you to.

Cam is coming home as a better version of the catcher who walked through those doors.

And we have a feeling she’s just getting started. 👀🔥🥎
